for those who're interested in adding mods like PS2/VS/Revtec and grounding, may be good to read these before deciding to invest :cheeky:

extracts from NGK's website:

Many of the more popular aftermarket ignition systems are of the capacitive discharge type. They store voltage, or accumulate it, until a point at which a trigger signal allows release of this more powerful spark.

what some people say:

When you add many power hungry accessories (e.g. electric/air horns, HID lamps, alarm, led/neon lights, etc.) to your bike, the new system needs more power from the stock source (battery) to function efficiently.

Injectors, fuel pump, ignition system, lights, are powered by electricity. By stabilizing (or increasing to some extent) the voltage and current supplied to these devices, they can operate at their optimal efficiency, and so does the engine. So the next time you blast your sound system, your spark plugs aren't gasping for electricity.

"It doesn't add power/efficiency, it helps restore the lost one."

Grounding provides direct ground path from battery negative to body, chassis, and engine components to give improvements on electrical circulation. In addition, most after-market grounding cables have less impedance than factory ground systems which provides immaculate conduction to prevent electrical power loss. The higher resistance of factory grounds, effect the ignition system and obstructs the primary potential. this is especially true for older bikes where the efficiency of their electrical harness/system has deteriorated over time.

Haha... B**ak anf F**ure...

Yay... Now everyone noes~

b**ak is quite a friendly guy. went to him few weeks back as i wanted him to check on the petrol stench in the underseat storage (comes after some riding). noticing that my bike is "freshly from the oven", he advised me to get it tuned at boon siew (agent) so as to clock in my warranty and also in case works by 3rd parties might void the warranty.

his advise for new bikes was:

... go to agent for at least 2-3 times (servicing, tuning or whatever), pay a little more and clock in some records in their system

... if got warranty, use it and don't void it

as for his technical skills, dunno yet coz didn't get chance to be service by him yet :D

btw, he got invited to join the recent SBF kukup trip (he drove in)... seems he's quite popular

heard from the mech that the person went back to boon siew.

but after awhile it there again.

but i don't see much of a issue.

as in it not really leaking alot.

it like when you touch the case you will feel oily.

anyway i was told and i'm monitoring my bike to see any big issue.

anyway my fuel consumption is around 23-24 per liter.

i tried to hit 360 b4.

then refill my tank for about 15.75 liters!

:cheeky:

So how is ur PA2 after a few weeks?

ok here's my review :p

acceleration from stationary has lower vibrations and bike feels smooth even at 100+ kph. unfortunately, i can't pin point to say it's all the merits of PA2 coz i've also got 4-point grounding & newly changed fully synthetic eo (was on mineral) contributing to the better performance

FC improved to an average of 24.5km/L over a test distance of 1244km, average cruising speed 80+kph, overtaking speed not exceeding 110kph, using NGK-R stock sparkies, filling esso 5000 petrol. don't know if it'll improve further if i use 8000 & iridium sparkies o_O

don't think there's any increase in power, and it not part of the product's claims anyway. PA2 & grounding is supposed to maintain engine efficiency or restore lost power due to battery drain from the many electrical appliances, not magically increase horsepower or cowpower of the engine :D
