u sound funny... as thou i dont know what i buying. it a JDM of cos. no offence but i'm jus here to share my delight moment of purchase today in this thread. can understand that i'm not buying euro sound a little strange but its not really affecting me. cheers.

eh.... so paiseh..... my degree of expression is limited with my engrish....

anyway...... I also didnt know still got JDM. Cos FC diff. I think the fun part is the OD button (same as auto cars) sort of like sports mode where u HIGH REV => accelerating up + waste more fuel.. hahahha

Anyway Mine is JDM 600... from outside.. not much diff. from JDM & Euro 400

I got a fren (retopel) he got 2nd hand few months back. See that he quite happy about it. Anyway... hope u luv ya ride......

I am thinking of changing my rollers to euro 4 ones. Heavier... Think might help improve on the FC.......

Other than tat.... Like scobby mentioned.... Did some essential stuff up to aid the riding experience...... heheheh

Welcome Siambee & Greenday to the SW fraternity and wish you trouble free years of fun. Not to worry too much about the comments on the difs between the EURO & JDM as the basic engine and body parts quite the same. Try not to add on or modify the electrics, exhaust system and CVT and you shud get years of service out of the SW. Stick to the maintenance schedule and use the recommended plugs, filters and lubricants. I have had 3 SWs so far and my first 600 gave me 200K plus mileage without any major rebuilds or problems. Only when i start to play around with CVT and engine upgrades did the old girl get cranky. Before i sold it the mods, including suspension and other engine / CVT parts, cost as much as a new one (including the required replacement of all brake pads/wheel bearings etc). I got a good deal on it for export and immediatly got another SW400 - which unfortunately got burnt in a housefire in malaysia. I then got my 3rd SW400 in November last year (from Loois) and use back my lucky number plate from another Honda scooter.

may not be the best FC scoot around... comfort and power is well balanced like Scooby mentioned.... hehhehe

So I've heard.

So far this is the main negative comment on S Wing. But I tink I can tahan dis, worst come to worst go JB pump lor.

My current Italian is so the Posh, very the high maintainence until I cannot tahan her alr. . . ..

Thats why I changing to a hardy Japanese soon:cheeky:

Hope she wont give so much trouble as her Italian counterpart:sweat:

I m mostly in Bukit Batok / Jurong Area when i m down in Sinchiapoh (my homeland by the way) but can commute anywhere to drink kopi or eat Roti Prata. But i prefer where parking is safe and free !!! My present is EURO SW400 and i opted for the 2006 version !!! Why ? Tell You when we meet !!!

I hope you ALL believe me when i say that the Honda SW is the best workhorse / tourer combination you can find !! Never mind the FC !! The other factors like servicing / tyre / brake pads costs will outweigh all the other present popular / available bikes in this category!! I also own an Italian crotch rocket (Ducati Senna Replica Mk1) and a couple of BMWs (R100RS & RS1150) parked in Malaysia, which i seldom feel inclined to use here due to the speed / noise restrictions & cost of fuel / maintenance. But any day when i feel like cruising to outback roads i surely want to use the SW!!!

ah... da man replies......

sounds convincing..... 2 weeks back wacked 140-160 to melaka with 2ups..

Still feel relatively stable. should be caused of the weight.

Well Sorry Brother !! But to be absolutely candid i feel the 400 to be more Zippy and better handling on the twisty bits - maybe something to do with the lower weight and hence better weight distribution. The 600 drinks as much fuel as the 400 but when two up and with luggage it gives better cruising speed. To do a comparison on pickup i would put my money on the 400 - if both bikes were absolutely standard. But i did notice that the 600 ate tires faster, especially the rear and the brake pads and CVT belts had a shorter lifespan !!

Is that comparison enough ??
