It might not be the case. Just use the distances travelled/the amt of litres pump in = km/l.

Mine is average of 22 - 24km/l. But I always move off slowly and pick up more later. :cheeky:

Wow, you can get 24km/l

My is about 21 to 23km/l at most. I pump when the 8th bar is blinking. :sian:

I move off at slightly 4rpm. If hit highway, then I go at 90 to 110km/h (normal speed)

Hi folks,

Need some advise, apparently my Fuel Consumption ain't the average among swingers here. Ever since I got my bike, I pumped 4 times, 4th time was 'early' because I just did my 1st servicing (845km) and wanted the next pump to be more 'accurate'.

http://www.picturesky.com/albums/userpics/11896/Mileage02.JPG

This is roughly how I calculate, please correct me if I'm wrong. I reset my trip meter at the petrol station, then I pump to the max. When I come back and pump again, I write down the distance covered onto the receipt which shows how many liters pumped this time around. Then I input the data and do a simple calculation of KM divide by liters.

:help:

I try Syn8000 last time, didnt give me a good mileage.

So far I use SPC 95 most of the time and fuel consumption is slightly better. Perhaps u can take a full tank to try.

Thanks for all the input folks, my riding is mostly city riding very little expressway riding. So maybe its normal, well I'll probably try a different brand of fuel the next time around.

If you are using the old X9 method, should be able to get it. But mostly will be at ard 22-23km/l. 24km/l on few ocassion only.

You are right, but I overtake them after 5-7 sec.

Aren't you afraid of slip clutch in your olden days :cheeky:

So what is the point of wasting the petrol when it would fly immediatly when you pick up. Let the momentrum build up first and then pick up. Still can catch up what. :cheeky:

Tried before.

Old X9 method cannot work, fuel consumption is around 21 to 22km/litres, during run-in. I ride only 80km/h MAX.

By gradual pickup and speed up more towards 100km/h to 120 km/h Fuel consumption slightly better lei>
