I will be going for my Circuit Revision tomorrow at 5.55PM. If you want, we can try to alias and go for Circuit Revision together next week.

I can't go early because I'm working...I'll normally do circuit revision on friday evenings because friday is the only day that I do not need to be in office wear.

oh yar...can i check with you guys what you mean when you say engage half clutch?

i thought first gear must half clutch otherwise the engine will die?

When on 2nd gear can do half clutch meh? I thought we must release the clutch fully?

Why nobody answer this question of mine de??

For next week i may be able to go for the class at 8.10PM, my office is just less then 10mins walk to SSDC only and i knock off at 5.15PM, anyway, why dont you wear something not so office and bring a shoe along or leave your heels in the office then, because thats what i do and its convinent.

30th oct. ya cant, so if you buy from someone else, you cancel le, and your hand is not fast enough will get booked by other people lor, if you heng then can book back the one you cancel, if not LLSS you have to book the later one liao. so i rather not take the risk. :cheeky:

Why nobody answer this question of mine de??

first gear you can release your clutch fully, but dont go too slow because engine will stall, im in the same situation as you before, i thought always need to half clutch in gear 1, but no.

engaging half clutch in any gear should be easy, if you can control your biting point well.

when i was really weak at crank course, i used half clutch gear 2 for quite some time, until im able to control the throttle nicely.

good luck in your practicals, trust me, the day you got your paper license, everything that you went through at ssdc will be worth it.

sorry for my block of text :cheeky:

In my eyes, you are the one.

In your eyes, im none.

to define dream, a wild fancy or hope. (http://www.answers.com)

If it's that easily achievable, I would not regard it as a dream machine.

Some prefer 1st, some will prefer 2nd.

Try not to use half clutch on 2nd gear. In fact when i'm on 1st gear, i dont use half clutch (this is after many correct practices).

If u're stationary and abt 1 car length from the U-turn junction, use 1st gear.

When u're moving off, dont realease the rear brake completely, try to use it slighty when u're moving off.

Make sure u maintain the accelaration and the clutch control. Get the right speed when u're moving becuz it should be the same speed for ur u-turn. if u're moving off is toooo fast then u will close throttle during the u-turn which will make the bike wobble. Unless u can close and able to open the throttle gently. If u find urself getting a little faster during the u-turn, tap the rear brake gently and hold it there, along with ur throttle still on(or better still if u know how to close throttle by a degree or so without closing completely), till ur bike nearly completes the u-turn.

Relax ur posture, holding the handle bar to firmly makes u open the throttle to hard and make the bike harder to turn as well, grip the fuel tank(but not too hard) to put more body wieght on the fuel tank,(centre of gravity) and not on ur arms and handle bars. lean ur weight slighty to the right if necesary. Eye point should be looking the lane u wanna be in.

2ng gear... Is when u have abt 2 cars lengths away from the u-turn.

when u have changed to 2nd gear, make sure u accelarate enough speed to enter the u-turn with deccelaration. That mean, accelarate, close throttle when u r turning, open throttle when u're abt slightly more that half way thru ur u-turn. rear brakes can be use if necessary.

After riding for 3 years, before working at SSDC i thought at was skillful in my riding. But only as an instrtuctor, i really start to understand how to ride a bike confidently with better skill. (I think some of u guys might know i went for advance riding/driving training in Japan). If can, i'd love to teach u guys how to do a u turn with 1 hand and not to be afraid of u-turn's anymore.

Ride Safe.

Wow thanks a heap Corse! I finally managed to clear my lesson 6.1 after 3 times. Now for lesson 6.2. 2 more lessons to pass till TP!

Just curious, what's the minimum requirement to clear lesson 6.2?
