As a friend to u all, let me share with u something that happen to me at work.

Recently i just taught a group of new students for their Lesson1.

Then i was teaching this lady how to stop using 2nd gear in the mini circuit. ( she learned at BBDC 8 yrs ago, she claimed)

1st incident i saw her left hand posture placed wrongly on the handle bar. Her left thumb was ontop of the handlebar rather then below the horn button, gripping the handlebar. Just as i was abt to tell her that her thumb was placed wrongly, she grip the bar correctly ans said," No, can't be."

2nd incident, she made the same mistake again, then before she placed her thumb underneath the handlebar. i told her again, "Your thumb is placed wrongly" The she said.. "Ohh...."

3rd incident, when she's practicing stopping, she pulled the clutch 1st rather then apply the brake 1st. Just as she was abt to stopp, I asked y did u pulled the clutch 1st? She answer me, "Because you were disturbing me." :faint:

To be very frank, if anyone tells me that i'm disturbing u, when i'm telling u ur mistakes instead, or tell me, 'don't stand there, u're pressurizing me' ... i'll seriously will loose all mood to teach.

I dont get it sometimes. Here i am... trying to help, telling what a student has done wrong and i get this in return. Maybe i shouldn't ask, 'y u pull the clutch 1st', instead just tell u ur mistake/correction on the spot.

Hope u all understand, that being an instuctor is not an easy job.

1 advice for u...if u wanna pass ur 2b faster, its better for u to book for theory practice n take the ttt on the day u enrol itself..no need to learn the book first..just learn from ur mistake during the practice..book as much as u 1..its FREE..than when u think ur ready, book 1 more practice but choose the ttt..if failed, do again till u pass than straight away book for ur rtt..the waiting period will be between 1mth - 1.5mth..so, during that period, u can start learning from book or practicing..meanwhile, u can still proceed to learn ur practical lesson..if u very free, go ssdc often to book ur pract using immediate booking..if u have any question on hw to book n stuff, just ask corse or the friendly ssdc staff..gud luck! :thumb:

just to share with u, i've wasted 2 mth waiting for rtt since i failed the first time..since i dont know anithing, i took my ttt after i passed my pract 5..total duration for 2b - 9 mths..total spendings - $800...

so my plan for those who wants to pass 2b faster...

on the day u enrol, quickly pass ur ttt n book for ur rtt..the duration waiting for rtt is 1mth - 1.5 mth..so in between, try ur best to clear pract5 by then..after getting ur pdl, quickly finish up ur pract 6, 6.1 n 7..after that, u can just relax n practice for ur tp..

1.5 mth since enrolment, clear rtt n pract 5..

another 1 mth to clear the remaining pract..

another 1.5 mth to wait for tp..

total duration - 4 mths...

disclaimer - duration may vary due to failing ur practs n waiting time in between ur practs n also tp..best advise is to use immediate bookings often..bear in mind all these may not possible if short of money..hahax..gud luck!!

IMHO, If I'm you, i will fail her and make sure she learn and correct her mistakes rather than pass her where she might lose her life or cause others in danger on the outside road.

Training school is a place to learn and correct your mistake. if no mistake, then its a place to enhance your riding skill. :thumb:

Most of the instructors feel that same way.. If u cant ride well, we wont pass u becuz we know at that riding standard, it will be dangerous for the student and other road users. Some students just can't accept their mistakes and continue to argue with us. If a rider stops on a pedestian crossing when the light turns red, U will get 10 points during the test. (student booklet checklist - E12) A class 2 student went for assessment(orange tag) & ever raised his voice at me saying its not wrong. He also said, if he do this during the test, he will also tell the tester that there's nothing wrong abt stopping on the pedestrian crossing. Rules are already set.

He then complaint to my chief instuctor, hoping to pass. My chief talk to me and ask if can change the results. I said "No"...and thinking to myself....He argue with me so heatedly. i will not go against what i believe in...

Just some of my stories to share

that part and parcel of working life. but salute to you for holding on what you believe in. but your chief also funny leh, rules already set and should maintain it firmly. if everyone go and complain and ask for change of passing result, then there will be increasing of accident and increasing of devil on the road.

He not 'Tao' at all, and waved back! But think he forget me liao, passed so almost 3 months ago.

Next year, go SSDC at woodlands take Class 2! Yeah! :cheer:

Too bad, I not wearing my Ninja Turtle Shell (Body armour) just now, or else can match his Dainese Jacket.
