okay...Keppel Fels and Keppel ShipyaRD HSE have different type of practice so be prepare for alot of stress and shackness....

I foresee this first 2 years is hard for me...

Unlike the current job I am doing. They only care about getting thing done..Working hours wise not so particular. Most of the time I go home early and lunch time at least 2 hours..

keppel fels is about jack up rigs while keppel shipyard is more on repair vessels like fpso and oil tanker. Might be heading for kfels after i get my sdwsh too. Is there a day shift and night shift safety officer for a particular project?

nop, its not abt jackup or ships.. basically both are vessels..if you are in charged of undertaking hse matters in these projects, more or less the same requirements .. just how they do things is different between the 2 yards..

Hi all!!

I'm new and I'm here becos of this discussion. I'm interested to find out more about career in the safety line as well. I'm current doing my Advanced cert in WSH and will be completing next month. I am currently working as a recept in a construction company. But heading for a big switch perhaps and I dun seem to receive any encouragement from my HR manager  as he is doubting that a lady is not very suitable to be in the construction safety line:dozed: ... Hopefully I will be able to get some encouragement or some form of guidance from u guys!

He said he is doubting that a lady is NOT very suitable to be in the construction safety line??

-> Meaning to say he thinks lady is very suitable. lolz. :cheeky:

You reply him nicely that you are doubting about a man being very suitable for HR position, somemore a HR Manager. hahaha... :cheeky:

Really network problem, not clocking postings. :)

Yes quite tough will be completing in 2014. How are you Shi xiong?

Please don't call me shi xiong hor. I am not worthy of that. Later, nebulaz, cstay66, sex kid, etc... all laugh at me. I am not even 10% as experienced as them. I am still learning a lot of the WSH stuffs in my chemical company, which is only a minor component of the many job responsibilities that I am holding.

I am coming towards the end of my "tough journey" too. Taking my part-time degree and last semester now.

I'm hoping you are not a WSH personnel.

If you are, time to start finding out how to properly do your job (job as in due deligence) and stop wayang here and there.
