As on tittle,

is sp able to pour ENGINE ICE coolant liquid? cuz from the heating part is quite cooking up my balls esp riding on the afternoon, no way to avoid this problem but i'm sure there's a way to reduce the heating,

And so if it's able to use ENGINE ICE, where can i get the authentic ones? Cuz i heard there's alot of shops around selling fake ones, and anyway is it true that ENGINE ICE's liquid color is blue?

don't mind can post picture of the bottle? or something like a link to the product :/

THANKS IN ADVANCE

Yrs back when i riding KR150, i used Egnine ICE when it first came into the market.

Dun feel any diff as my bike is not tat hot and did not encounter jam roads.

Engine ICE is just another coolant brand, no harm using it.

I using Engine ICE for all my bikes to date.

For my GSXR, it helps a bit by 1 degree celsius only thou :p

But definity better than stock coolant.

hmm... overheating eh? how about you try to do a coolant flush and radiator flush. see if got any rust inside, all of these add on to the heat buildup. after that then you put in new coolant. there will be a difference.

Thrash? Don't mind if i do.

im riding SP and using engine ice. i use normal coolant, tendency to reach beyond halfway mark during jams. but engine ice never. i think ur radiator choke or something. because engine ice works better in a sense that it keeps the bikes temperature at its optimum level. just my opinion. correct me if im wrong.

I flushed and wash my coolant and radiator before, but during jam on afternoon the meter will go above more than half, is it normal? Using the green type of coolant don't know which brand :/

Actually, you might want to try Maxima's CoolAide. It's cheaper and I've been using it for years now.

As for during jam on afternoons, the meter will go above more than half. As long as it doesn't go way up, the bike is fine. NSR SP is a water-cooled system. Therefore, when the bike is stationary, the temp of the bike will rise. It is normal. No sweat at all.

Happy riding!

NSR SP is water-cooled, not air-cooled.

agreed. i ride an r6 and have been using maxima coolaide all this while. never had any major heat problems. well except for the occasional ball cooking sessions in heavy traffic.

to me it performs better as compared to water wetter. not sure about engine ice. no point changing to something so expensive if a cheaper alternative does the job just as well. when i used to ride a 2stroke in the past, all i used was the cheap *** green coolant. no problems at all. maybe you're just not used to the heat. wait till you ride a cl2 bike, then you know how does cooked balls smell like..

Thanks for the replies & advice bros, looks like the heat is normal in general, but where can I get the maxima coolaide? From any common bike shops? Thanks would be good if there's any shop in the north selling it

You can get Maxima CoolAide from any good bike shops.

If I may recommend, you can go to Planet Motor (near TP Headquarters) to do your change. They're reliable. As for bike shops located in the northern region of Singapore, the other reliable bike shop I can think of is Unique Motorsports (Autobay).

riding nsr sp for about 5 years. price i think maxima coolant $35, engine ice $40 include flush.

price abit different only so last servicing i tried engine ice, it's so much better. the needle seldom go up more than middle.

engine ice got fake, but the name if not wrong is called "coolant ice", not engine ice. saw it at LAB.

I got my engine ice from K&T at ubi.
