Any of you guys bought a rectifier for this bike before? If so, how much and where did you get it from? I went to CA recently and they estimated its about $200. Unless I can give them the exact part number, it remains an estimation.

Nothing happened so far, its more as a precaution. Let's say one day, your rectifier fails. The bike shop needs to tow your bike in and get the replacement rectifier. Basically, he has you by the balls...you just have to pay what the price for replacement is unless you wanna get it yourself. But since you don't have a bike, its inconvenient to look around.

I've had my balls nicely squeezed before with my old bike, so am not prepared to get pissed off the same way for the second time. Furthermore, you would also be subjected to availability of parts (This is a growing concern because very often I visit a shop, they tell me its the first time they've seen a Boulevard. Unless we are talking about generic Suzuki components here, they won't really know what to get. And I don't really know if the Boulevard uses mostly generic Suzuki spares). But back to the matter on hand...So if you have one in hand, just trot down to the motodiam, pass it to them and pay for tow and labour for replacement, or maybe for the battery as well if it needs to be changed. Better to be ready. :)

CA believe they have it, I just have to supply the part number for them to pull one out. However, the price of "above $200" doesn't attract me yet as I haven't been able to compare with anyone else. Do you know if there is an exclusive Suzuki dealer like Boon Siew is to Honda?

oh!!okok!!sorry bro.:)..thanks for the info.btw i was thinking maybe we can meet up since we are riding the same bike.i have long want to meet up fellow boulevard rider already.:)

You are finishing work really early, bro. 5pm is beyond me as I work in Tuas and finish close to 6pm. I was thinking of close to 7pm actually. What are we gonna be doing? Am curious cos you are talking about an open carpark and I was wondering if we're gonna squat around our bikes and talk? Hehe...sounds kinda weird, the way you put it, eh? :)

Don't get me wrong, I didn't say you sound weird. What I was referring to was the whole initial arrangement, which did not include drinking coffee and what that follows. Perhaps it is implied but Jalan Kayu is not a regular stomping ground for me. I am not familiar with the area and what's available there as I live and work in the west. Anyway, let's see who else is interested before we decide how this thing proceeds, yes?

Tempest maybe my typing make me sound  but i wasn't

anyway if most guys stay in the west we might have to relocate the meet up point for kopi :cheeky: but den again it is still very subjective to weather n like u had mention depend on how many guys are meeting up too ya.
