The most affordable when i purchased mine 1.5 years ago was the HJC CL-ST. nt sure if Motoworld still has stock for this. got it for $100 w/ trade in. not the lightest helmet but its a pretty sturdy helmet. nothing yet to break so far on mine (daily user). only changed the visor once since it was scratched (my poor care). however, ventilation is not the best. get a low-end one to get used to a FF first whilst saving up for a higher-end one. i'm definitely getting an AGV or Shoei once i hv d budget.

if u have a higher budget (above 200), regina shud hv a good selection. jux go along Jln Besar, keep left and you will see a food centre at the Kelantan Lane junction. its right at that junction. u can't miss it.

Hi, do PM me if u are interested in the CL-ST ones (color white with red roses stripes) L size. Use it in my car (during track) once and on the bike once only. It is 1 size large for me, wanna let go of it cheaply and get a 1 size smaller. (sry to hijack yur thread)

You can go Motoworld to take a look at the HJC range of helmets.

I've been using the IS-MAX flip-up.

Comes with an integrated shade, which is very useful.

The downside is the weight & wind noise.

For 2nd hand helmets, it's my own opinion but I will never buy a 2ns hand helmet, no matter how good the condition seems to be.

It's the only barrier between the head and the hard surface. *touch wood* Dont take any chance.

go for the HJC la. cheap and good value for the price. don't expect everything though.

100 only, cannot complain la, defintely looks and protects better than open face.

February 2011 - March 2012 = Phantom TA 200

March 2012 - August 2013 = Suzuki Impulse 400

Present = BMW (Bus, MRT, Walk)

A shoei cost abt $800 n above . You probably can find one which cost abt $500 but that would be an old model that make you look like a veteran. I think helmets abt $250 onwards are safe n comfortable. Yes Regina n Motoworld do offer plenty of choice for resonably priced , branded nice helmets .

I think I saw Regina selling OGK Avand FF for about $240, PSB approved. U might wanna go check it out.

dun scare him, shoei older models is about $650 (regina might sell cheaper) and those are with design, their previous flagship model x11. other models are cheaper. arai is slightly more exp.

Rat bike - A motorcycle not necessarily kept in pristine condition, often painted matt black. Minimal maintenance and mismatched parts often used.

BTW those using >$500 helmets do you all change your helmet every 3 years or so???

Cos under our topical weather..The polymers inside would degrade faster aka harder which in term doesn't cushion the impact very well...
