wahahha.. that rules basically apply to us Malaysian oso.. but.. heh.. here the police is a bit "something else"

Btw.. Im sorry I didn't specify my curiosity.. What are the issues for riders in Singapore eh?? Cos us in Malaysia.. we have those "REMPIT" issues.. what about in Singapore what kind of stuff happen over there?? Cos I went once or twice.. basically just to enjoy myself in places like shopping and Universal Studio..

never went there as a biker..

Can actually park anywhere without fears of getting stolen but

With fears of getting heavy summons or even wheelclamps

Dun be a rempit here. As anyone can juz snap a pic of u with ur bike licence plate doing rempit stunt and post it out on stomp.

You can park anywhere and not worry it will get stolen, depending on area, you could even just leave your helmet there. Just that if you park illegally in some areas, you could be fined and its not cheap, highest I've heard was $400.

Rempits? Have, they are annoying, they have no skill in cornering but they do like to go fast in straights and overtake closely or 'kilas' but its not really a problem here. Most if not all of them belong to some 'design', usually on small cc bikes, got some on bigger ones like Super 4s and usually those who can afford litre bikes are already matured enough not to do these because bikes are expensive, petrol is expensive, accidents are expensive, Singapore is expensive.

And here the law favors drivers, drivers who kill, god knows on purpose or not, drunk or otherwise, no license or have, get like a year at most. Very good place to go killing riders, pedestrians etc.

My point of view:

Here in SG, we riders are considered as "Pests" to the drivers. If you know what I mean. Everyday is a fight to survive on our roads.

Can we have a like button to this?

I beg to differ.. Perhaps its individual perception n sensitivity... If bikers were to ride like a lunatic freaks or lane splitting in a dangerous manner or no road ethics, of coz those bikers will b deemed as "Pests" not only to drivers but to other fellow bikers as well.. Perhaps it cud b bcoz i didnt ride a small cc bike so i dun feel dat way... :)

Its the ride u r riding lar.

I have a spark 135

@nd a busa

On a spark 135, Drivers dont give me a second look. Some even overtake me when im overtaking. Some flash high beam. Some tailgate. So usually i will stay in the middle lane.

On my busa, damn it so different. No tailgating, no driver overtake me dangerously.

It the mindset.

Hehe 10 markah penuh lah bro lolz ... Even when lane splitting in heavy traffic with my hazard lights on, automatic these drivers will give way, only a handful of mangkukz who drive like a race horse that have their side vision blocked causing nuisance, other than that, its a breeze.. But of coz if really heavy traffic especially got accident ahead, i'll exit n use e minor road... Riding big bike was my dream during childhood days n many years ago started to ride a class 2 bike... N its a dream come true... After changing couple of a litre bikes, finally got myself a sports tourer n nvr regret it... Thanks to Almighty Allah for making it happens...

muahaha.. ooo oso got rempit ke overthere..

damn, well.. sad to know that issue is at large anywhere.. although it is more critical here in Malaysia.. pffttt

well... nice to see u guys sharing some thoughts lah.. and.. yes I think I have to agree that people's perception is sure like **** wherever we go.. Im not hating those who have big litre bike or supersports.. but they just got a better treatment than their smaller counterparts..

As for me.. My first bike is only the Kawasaki KIPS.. (Im pretty sure I saw a few used in SG as a Pizza Delivery) ahaha.. but that is thanks to Malaysian absurd tax stuff.. But still.. I enjoy the bike for my trackdays... so not too bad lah..

but... "because bikes are expensive, petrol is expensive, accidents are expensive, Singapore is expensive."

I thought bike in singapore are like super cheap.. I think for an R1 priced at MYR30k to MYR40k is very good price.. hehehe..

Sorry to burst ur bubble bro, but the only bikes that are cheaper than Msia are those above 400cc, and thats still only marginally cheaper. Don't forget our road tax, ERP, parking, insurance, COE, petrol all add up so much that u can probably buy 2 more small bikes with that money.

So yah, half true la, about singapore bikes cheap.

But honestly, biking is something better suited to other bigger countries. I hear u can own a 400cc bike in the UK for less than $3k brand new, all costs covered

Its ok to compair but to compair us to usa is bit too far. We can't bring our bike there so we wont feel the difference.

It like, compairing brother to brother. Blood to blood

Rather then

Compairing oneself to the king of england.

Too far fatch ain't it?

Okay luh. Even in Msia cannot compare the costs of owning vehicles because of different regulatory rules and other economic factors like tariffs and taxes.

Im juz a normal human who will compair one to other but not going out of context.

Imo still its normal to compair, malaysia to singapore, singapore to malaysia, malaysia to thailand, etc etc
