saw on another forum tonight that Honda has issued a Stop Sell on the bike. It seems that the bike is equipped with a drive chain from one of two vendors. If it is one type the dealer will replace the chain, if it is the other all is good.

 

I plan on calling my dealer in the morning to verify.

"Honda announced a Stop Sell Notice on the NC700 today.

 

The issue is the drive chain on the bikes. All the bikes have to be inspected and if it has an D I D chain it is good to go.

 

If it has an RK chain it has to have RK and Japan stamped on it. Seems some have RK chains and they have failed.

 

My local dealer has two on the floor, one with an D I D chain and one with the RK chain.

 

If you have already purchased an NC700 check your chain and see what chain you have and call your dealer for info."

 

thks for the info man... so far boon siew nvr say anything... but crap man i cant see my chain if its did or rk, my vision haven fully recover, how to see the brand on my chain?

From what i know BS and the other parts agents don't have and don't intend to bring in accessories.

You can order online from http://www.webike.net. Above certain amount get shipping charges free. Have yet to order anything yet. For windshield can try calsci, puig, givi, mra also. Google them. The advantage for Honda screen is there is additional support arm? i saw from pic...but fyi, there seems to be no stock until November.

Got your bike yet? I saw the review on japan.webike.net, the reviewer brought Tall Windshield on year 2011, meaning this is universal windshield for honda bike? or they just simple copy the review from another product??

This is weird, I placed my order too, but they informed me to cancel my order as they dont have any stock, and they have no definite date when it will become available.

I would say its relatively comfortable at that speed but it's best around 130-140km/hr for me. Maybe I kiasee type top I tried was 170+ then I slowed down Liao. Dunno if it's me or the bike but speed increment slows down after 160. Maybe must redline every gear to hit rated top speed?

Only can consider red? Actually my first choice wasn't red, not even my 2nd choice of color but Bo pian, last piece Liao so I took it. Didn't regret taking the color ever since. Am thinking if white would be a difficult color to maintain.
