This is my current bike status, for just only 6 months only,

the conditions are very bad.

imagine the quality of material they used!!!

I AM VERY DISAPPOINT WITH YAMAHA......INDIA!!!!

worst still, my seat lock compression-spring broken, it causes unable the lock the seat!!!

my final worry, will this rear-brake compression-spring,break???? what shall do with it?!?!?!?!

YAMAHA FZ16 from india!!!!! OMG!!!!

The process -

-the seat lock spring broke, i replaced other brand.

-The Head light bulb, keeps blowing. non-stop replace monthly.

-the indication switch, spoil, right side unable to use, i must turn to the left, then turn to right side.

-the Red color button cut-off engine switch, spoil, it easily turn-off the engine, while traveling fast, when strong wind,it also triggered the button and cut-off the bike engine.

I had to cut the cable and bypass the switch.

-now the electrical switch unable to start the engine. everything, that are visible part , must change. Either is rusty and broken.

-the fuel tank stopper turned white color

-the clutch spring broken. this causes my clutch cable to break-off.

(why the clutch spring can break?!?!?!?!)

-In order to replace the clutch spring, the engine box must open.

-after opened the engine box, they discovered the disc fiction wear-off.

Finally, dont talk too much.

I challenge those who replied me.

GO AND BUY THIS BIKE...!!! IF YOU DARE...!!!!

THIS IS SUPER LEMON BIKE...!!!!

U didn't even wash your bike. If you have wash it, you cant miss all this things...Oil the springs and lube the chain are part of preventive maintenance. If if the bike made in Japan, dont change engine oil, it will break down some days....I would is a user problem in this case...

Lol... Look at your chain brother... Look like those little broken scrap metal lying around on a typical scrapyard.

Change to a new chain and sprocket then do the maintenance eg. Washing and lubing the chain!!! Your chain cannot make it already.

are bajaj bikes self-maintaining?

actually most of us knew that if vehicle not maintain, next thing we knew was wear & tear....

fact is wear & tear "haunt" all type of vehicles irregardless of brand... what separate them was "rate of wear & tear"

I guess the vehicle owner "astonished" at the rate of wear & tear on his/her vehicle on such a short interval...

bike is a machine without soul, rider would inject new life and character to this machine

AIYO!!!!! CHAIN SO RUSTY!! NEVER LUBE NEVER MAINTAIN FOR 6 MONTHS???!!!!

from the bottom of my heart, i feel sad that the bike has an owner like you. buy liao don't care just throw. at least send to wash once in a while.

all these rusting seems to be from exposure to rain, if you cover with rain cover will not be so serious. worse come to worse, take out some time and sand it off la.........

piang ooi....my 14 year old bike looks better than yours man. tsk tsk tsk

Oh yeah... I thought of that too as well... The salt corrosion and all that nonsense.

Seriously, my ill maintained YBR looks better than his bike sia. And all i do is slap used EO on my chain once a month and park under shelter.

side stand spring so fast can rust meh ????

Yes. The spring is just plain steel, not stainless steel, without any coating. In Singapore weather even chrome coating can rust if water and dirt comes in contact so plain steel rusting is no surprise. Same thing with the metal plates under the footpegs also, you will see rust. These are all cheap in India and can be replaced easily so they dont bother to put expensive stainless steel just to prevent rusting.

My China YBR dont have this problems at all. Not even on my chrome, my side stand springs, anywhere.
