Guys, just bought my SP. Full Red (3312) 2 weeks ago. Haven't done anything since I've bought it. I was riding at 50-60km/h towards woodlands on Gambas Ave. I started slowing down as I was approaching the junction before 3M building there. When I clutch in and started dropping gear. I realised my engine died. I had fuel battery. When I kickstart, there isn't compression. Changed spark plug still cannot start. Push start, it started but keeps dying when trying to change higher gears unless I maintain I high revs I can go to the next gears. I tried increasing the idling by adjusting the knob on the carb. I can kick start but I have Rev to start the engine and to keep it alive. If not it dies off. My carb has no air filter/airbox. Running on premix 1l/25ml. Can someone assist me?

Need gather some opinions here,

Q1. Is changing clutch housing necessary? My mech say the knocking sound of my bike is quite loud and advice me to change it. I called LAB and asked, its about $140.

Q2. Anybody overhaul whole engine before? My mech show me i have a small slow leakage of EO beneath, he suspect its the gasket need to be changed. He told me to save around 1500rm for overhaul when the leak becomes jialat jialat, and also bring the clutch housing along to change together.

Hi All, help needed. Im unable to kickstart my bike. Condition: managed to kickstart the engine once, but engine will die off less than a min even though on choke. And unable to kickstart thereafter. Aside, the neutral light is dimmed or black out when i attempt to on the headlight. Is it battery flat or overflow carb?

Anybody know where to get POP racing footrest? Or any other footrest for sp other than LAB's yoshi.

Most probably it's your battery. Try take your battery to workshop and charge and try again if still cannot then bring your bike over to mechanic to check it out.

Hi guys I'm currently having an issue with my Honda nsr sp. Can I ask what's the temperature gunge supposed to be during riding ? Is it normal to be in between the half mark or below ? If not so can anyone help me out and tell me if my bike has problems ? And what parts should I service to get this fixed? Replies would be greatly appreciated. Also can the senior riders out there reccommend a trustable and affordable honda sp mech/store. Already living in a expensive city and servicing also expensive. How buy food for myself like that haiss...

A MUST HAVE for your daily ride !!

-----------------------------------

- Grab On Grip covers reduce vibration and give you a softer feel, reducing hand and wrist fatigue, so you won't have that tingly feeling in your hands after a long ride.

- There are riders riding sportbikes with low handle bars, complain of sore palms from leaning on the grips for so long. With Grab On Grip covers, these problems will be a thing of the past !!!

- Grab On Grip covers allow you to ride in more comfort, especially on those long rides. PERFECT for the daily commuter, tour rider, and sport riders alike.

Features

---------

- Slip over existing grips for greater comfort, or to renew worn grips.

- Work with heated or standard grips.

- Save $$$, no need change the whole heater grip system which is very costly.

- Shock absorbing EPDM foam for a smoother ride.

- Provide comfort to wrist and palm. (Great for touring !!)

Great for city riding where there's lots of traffic light, your hand will be tired during the on going "stop go" situation, this product will help to ease the stress on palm n wrist. Highly recommended for despatch/delivery riders.

"Once you try it, you'll LOVE it"

NOTE : Lot of customers been asking what's the difference between Grab On Grip with another brand that's selling @ $30-$35.

Ans :

- 1st of all, Grab on Grip is Made in USA while the other grip is Made in UK. So the difference in currencies. USD vs Pound Sterling

- Difference in QUALITY. No doubt both are EPDM Foam but customers that have used Grab On Grip and have tried the "other brand", eventually came back to use Grab On Grip. Customers claimed that the "other brand" became smelly after using it for awhile and it tends to slip to the balancer causing the throttle to "stuck" which is VERY DANGEROUS. They have never face this problem when using Grab On Grip. Well, expensive things doesn't mean its good.

- Some customers asked how come mine is "cheaper" than the rest ?

Ans : There's no need for me to claim i'm the "dealer/distributor" when the product i sell is 100% Genuine Made in USA.. As a biker, I wanted to share my great experience of using this product for more than 5 years at an affordable price.

Hi Guys,

I have thought of organising a HONDA NSR meetup where the 2 strokers riding the sp could all meet up to form a community. I honestly have no idea what the response would be and have not considered/planned the itinerary for the event yet. From here, i wish to get a rough response of the number of people who would still be interested in such events, so as to decide if i should host such an event and get the nsr community up and going. If successful, We would be seeing ALOT more activities upcoming if the community is strong enough and vibrant. And also reviving the Honda NSR group which is dispersed and inactive.

During the first meet i hope to make some things clear. And the agenda as follows:

. Get to know the 2 stroke NSR enthusiast

. Bond together as a community riding the same bike

. Exchange tips and knowledge within the group, ie(Basic servicing of bikes, minor modifications)

. Discussions of what the next event should be like and the direction of the NSR community

As of now, I am aiming for a group that have a common identity and share the passion of a two stroke machine. Further activities could be planning track days and such events again.

If you would be interested, Please do PM me your name and contact number as to form a whatsapp group.

Where is the best place to do overhaul which includes the engine as well?

It depends on your budget and what actually needs to be done. Price can range from 300 to afew thousand depending on how much of work is needed to be done.

If by overaul you mean a top end rebuild, it wld cost abt SGD 1K+.

I had mine done in JB, after having a piston seizure on my way to Malacca. RM 3300. Brand new cylinder block, piston & ring set, piston bearing, RC valve, 2t pump, gaskets, plug, coolant, air filter. Tai Seng Kooi Motorsports. Boss is an ex racing star.

Probly abt the same price as sg, but at least the workmanship is good & he got it done in a day. Ordered parts on Mon morng, parts arrived tues late morng. Tues evening ready to go. In sg you probably have to wait abt a week or so.

I can vouch on the new cylinder & parts, as I was there & saw him unboxing it. My prev owner sold me an overhauled sp, showed me the receipt (sg workshop) 1K+. Prev owner claims new cylinder & piston. But the JB mech after looking at the damaged cylinder block told me its not a brand new block but at least 7-8 yrs old & showed me the wear patterns. No way this is brand new he said. So the prev owner's mech did a con job - using a 2nd hand block & passing it off as new.

After some experiences with a couple of sg workshops, I now only trust Tai Seng Kooi. Do the minor routine stuff in sg, but do the major stuff in JB.

btw Im not Tai's ad agent nor being paid by him to 'advertise' haha

Hello guys anyone know where to buy new fairings? And if so,how much?

Unfortunately these things I think only JB can do. I had my top fairing replaced there after i broke it after a little skid on damp road. My regular sg mech couldnt source anyone in sg having its replacement. Had mine replaced by Tai Seng Kooi. Rm$390.
