Its probly carb diaphram or main needle worn out for hesitation of throttle

If sometimes die when sudden throttling,that indicates problem with float.

Hi bros,

 

Tach meter has issue.

 

1. When startup, sometimes the tach meter will just go up to 2k, and then drop back down.

Exactly like this vid (0:51 seconds)

 

2. Another time, the tachmeter seem to calibrate wrongly. So idle rpm was at 6k, instead of usual 1.5k. I know the meter is reading wrongly because when i move off, the RPM shoot up to 10k. I on / off bike, then ok already.

 

---Can I just replace the TACH? Where to get replacement?

---Or is it some other problem? Eg burnt resistor etc.

The meter need to replace whole set. I think price about 200 sgd. But if u electronic techie you can play around with it. If u need parts I have few broken meter panel. maybe can salvage few parts

Aware of jet needle. It is a design flaw which "nail head" of needle worn out(side by side with new needle comparison to know the different) after period of time(depends on riding habit and route). cost: around SGD90

If u go to one of the kaki bukit shop insist for original jet needle. If not they will give u something and the caps will keep falling. I guess i buy cheaper than 90sgd.

u noe guys..i just read dis post now after going to mech. n yes tat was the price quoted for the needle. being in touch wif bro mudai on whther can get a cheaper needle. tx alot everyone

Thx bro. My RPM meter still acting funny. Sometimes the "zero" becomes shifted to 200rpm. So all my readings are off by ~200rpm. I know cos my idle suddenly become 1750rpm, and my 100kmh become 6750rpm (usually 6500rpm). THen if switch off / on, sometimes it goes back to normal (1500rpm idle / 6500rpm 100kmh).

 

Bro do u know where the meter can be obtained from? Also does this mean my mileage reset to 0km? I don't really want that :(

Hi bros, for those who get 350km and above (when hit reserve), what is your riding style?

 

So far I can only get 320km when hit reserve. My riding style

-50% highway at 80kmh

-50% city riding (start, stop, traffic light, etc)

-my weight 75kg, sometimes pillion additional 50kg.

-never rev above 6500rpm.

-when to to full tank is abt 10.5l

 

Is my FC consider ok?

In fact, your fuel consumption is quite good already. I got 360km till empty. Topped up around 12.5 Litres (Meaning running towards my end of reserve)

 

Riding style is constant speed without much stopping (Because my home only hit 4 traffic lamps to expressway and around 6 more traffic to office at town) and moving and i usual turn off engine at traffic lights. Per trip of mine is around 40km per trip.

90 - 100 ... may varies. Initially I manage to get between 300-310 max but after tyre & belt replacement, manage to clock 350 or 358. Unsure if it's due to the replacement etc ....
