More downpayment the lesser we pay interest if we can afford.... True??

How do you pay for yours when you get it? Don't hesitate to add additional information, like how much your monthly payment is, or if your filthy rich... :cheer:

cannot understand, car loan interest now below 2% and can loan over a period of 10yrs, bike can't, no such package. consider HD selling @ $64K (top range), BMW usually $30k-$50k below, Honda GW $50k and below, may be more expensive than some Korean or Japanese cars and no such loan package available. Wonder why?

Bike instalment interest still remains at 3% and above, max 5yrs loan in usual case, BMW ever promote 7yrs loan but interest @ 5-5.5% (can't remember). I paid mine 10% for used, and 5.5% for new, about 7-8yrs ago. Interest is more than $5k for 3yrs.

Guess may be bike price is low, less than $20k, but if Courts / Harvey Norman / Best / Atlas and etc... can tie up with bank/credit card companies to arrange 12/24/36/48months instalment interest free, why can they do it on bike? Bike shops like Mah, ASP, Boon Siew and etc... can't? Anyway, shops still earns their usual profit, sales still earn their usual commission, commission from insurance company and on top of that, sales can earn additional commission of $500-3k upon sucessful credit approval. Isn't this a win win situation? Further, Bikes shop responsibilities for loan problem gone, less administrative work, it'll be banks and bike owners problems.

Am I rite?
