Very true... seen alot of that too. Go 4 laps with no problems and then suddenly lowside in the corner without warning.

Trying to save a few hundred on tyres only to pay thousands in bike damage repairs.

PILOT POWER

95% ROAD

5% CIRCUIT

PILOT POWER 2CT

90% ROAD

10% CIRCUIT

POWER RACE SOFT / POWER RACE MEDIUM

30% ROAD

70% CIRCUIT

POWER RACE

MEDIUM SOFT

100% CIRCUIT

These percentages are only a rough guide.

Lets say your tyres will last you 10,000 km for your style of riding. And of that 10k, you would most likely clock 9.5k on the roads and 500km on the track. The Pilot Power tyres should be good enough and is recommended for you.

Again you could put on the Power Race Medium/Soft (100% circuit) becoz you are rich enough and ride it on the roads 100% of the time.

You are most likely just wasting your money thats all. The tyres will never get heated up enough on the streets to perform at their best. Only bling factor is improved.

Good info..! thanks!

Hi, i have a question and hopefully the experienced riders can advice on this

im riding a DRZ SM with bt090 tyres.did a track session recently and started off with tyre pressure of front 28psi and rear 28psi.

after about 30 mins when i pit i checked my tyres and pressure, the rear tyre was scrubbed heavily but the front had a lot of difference from the rear.it didn't look like it had been scrubbed and the pressure reads front 28.5 and rear 30.5.so i thought the front wasnt heating up enough and i lowered to 26psi instead.at the end of my session then i saw the front being scrubbed like the rear.

was it just my wrong tyre pressure from the start that caused it to not heat up?or something to do with my suspension set up?anyone?

anyone can help..it is good to buy Pilot Pure or Metzeler M5 for Track and Road Use?which has better grip?

yoz!

pilot pure? its either pilot power or power pure dude..which one u referring to?

also when u mention road and track..when u mention track,is it PG?

coz if its PG the Metzeler is i use in PG scrubs well unlike the Michelin which is totally scuffed

I use Metzeler in PG and Pirelli in Sepang

I do like the Michelins quite a fair bit but the only gripe i got is it doesnt gives u any indication unlike the pirellis which twitch alittle during corners to sort of pre amp u if u overcooked it

On our KR150s we run them at 29 or 30 PSI hot.

I suggest you ride a few laps with the normal road pressures than bring it down or up till you get the desired pressure with the tyres heated up.

Nobody can tell you what the cold temperature should be... it all depends on the rider, the track surface condition, temperature and the compound and characteristics of the tyre.

Ic, I always pump 29psi for street; 30psi for track, but some riders said 30 psi is too much for track, so wanted to check it out..

Just curious how hard is it to order DOT RACE BT-003 PRO? Are they readily available? Any pricing available?

@goliath It really depends on how hard you ride...the manufacturers have got a recommended settings which you can use as your baseline. If you planning to ride the circuit like how you ride your twisties when you on the road...the settings you got at the moment might just work :)

There is someone out there for me

I know there is someone out there

I know she is waiting so patiently yeah

Can you tell me her name?

(Somebody tell me her name)

This life-long search is gonna drive me insane

How does she laugh?

How does she cry?

What's the color of her eyes?

Does she even realize I'm here?

Where is she? Where is she? Where is she?

Where is this beautiful girl?Who is she? Who is she?

Who is gonna complete my world?
