The card when put into the IU will increse the bike's horse power, by reducing the power requirements of the electronic items on your bike.

Oh wait, that is something else... ...

The touch and go card is like EZ link card, but used for paying toll in Malaysia. :D

The toll isnt really at the customs itself, its on the NSH. so even if u go by 1st link, and enter NSH, ur bound to pay toll. correct me if im wrong ya. hehe.

gentlemen... let's address some points here for clarity, for the sake of our fellow biker kah-kees

1) do we chop our passports at the old customs or the new customs?

2) if we have to chop our passports at the old customs, upon exiting the counters, will we still be diverted up the bridge into the new customs?

3) if we have to chop our passports at the new customs, any additional points we should look out for? like only what lanes can be used?

4) do we have to pay toll fees using "touch and go" if we're only entering or exiting malaysia? (NSH not applicable to this question)

Cheers

Chop at the old customs before 16 Dec, on the 16 Dec chop at the new customs

2) if we have to chop our passports at the old customs, upon exiting the counters, will we still be diverted up the bridge into the new customs?

Yes, you will be diverted to the new customs, so that you will know the route when they started to use the new customs

3) if we have to chop our passports at the new customs, any additional points we should look out for? like only what lanes can be used?

No new additional point, just follow the route, best let so Malaysian riders ride pass you so you can follow. Remember to chop your passport at the old customs.

4) do we have to pay toll fees using "touch and go" if we're only entering or exiting malaysia? (NSH not applicable to this question)

Till now, no news about the cost of using the new customs for bikers, ie free, no toll fee yet.

Hee! Hee!

Seems like I don't need to answer any of the questions asked on where to stamp and how the route into Malaysia has changed anymore!

Actually I bought the card more for my father to use. He is driving up to Penang for Christmas.

But I can still use it when I go 2nd link! :D

Card is bought at the YELLOW House next to the WHITE House.

(Not kidding here! Open your eyes Brothers there is even a sign board on the wall next to the door.)

When you step into the office just tell them you want a Touch and Go Card.

They will ask you to fill in a form and pay RM$10 for the card, and ask you how much value you want to top up.

Just pay accordingly it's like buying an EZ link card at the MRT ticketing counter.

Just for laugh I bicycle in to do my Sunday shopping..jialat jialat

Yah..you still get your passport chopped at the old shed going in (we will miss these sights shortly when it pass into history...)

Once out of the old place, I see this incline

Picture 1 ..no sweat.dropped to gear one and cycle up

Picture 2 Keep to your left...puff...puff..puff.... nabei and viola

Picture 4... nabei..more incline...puff..puff...

Picture 5....aiyoh...yet more incline...puff..pufff...and then more incline..I had to push my bicycle.. ICA and policemen all laughing...

http://i242.photobucket.com/albums/ff151/starcruze/Image906a.jpg

Picture 6...after passing several new-but-not-open-for-business immigration booths I exited the new ICA..

http://i242.photobucket.com/albums/ff151/starcruze/Image907a.jpg

Picture 7 After about 50m you can either filter left or go straight ahead to NSH

http://i242.photobucket.com/albums/ff151/starcruze/Image908a.jpg

Picture 8..If you filter left at pix 7 you will see this junction .Turn right and go all the way to end and filter left to go back to Singapore or City Square

http://i242.photobucket.com/albums/ff151/starcruze/Image909a.jpg

Picture 9 If you went ahead at picture 7 ..you can then filter left and end up at this junction..filter left to Singapore, City Square or turn right to Jln Tebrau

http://i242.photobucket.com/albums/ff151/starcruze/Image910a.jpg

Coming back..one still use the old route and old immigration sheds (lucky for me..no more huffing and puffing )..next time I will use my scrambler

May the pics do so help on the new malaysia custom route... :cheer:
