I'm gonna use these pictures and pretend that I saw my bike in the crate.

i got the salesman to give me the vessel number the bike is on..took 1 month to reach sg, then when it arrived at PSA, i have friend there to track when it is off loaded and left PSA, that how i was able to view my bike in the box..:D

I came home straight from the showroom. Didn't go riding anywhere cause very tired and hungry already. Wah really not used to the bike. It is very slow! The tank is tiny! The foot pegs kept tangling with my pants when I put my legs down! But whole bike looks fantastic. Must get used to the relaC relaC style and the signalling. Fingers very busy pressing left and right signal  Will ride it to work tomorrow :D

BTW, saw a ice denim blue Nightster. Wow dam unique colour .......

congratulations! welcome to the harley family. try not to wear bell bottoms when u ride. if your pants get stuck with the pegs, it can be disastrous if u cant get your feet to the ground at the traffic light junction

THANKS!

I didn't wear hippies pants leh. Just normal working pants

Yah man! Got stuck when putting feet down! Luckily my "vast experience" in riding Harley enables me to have quick reflexes to un-tangle my pants! It's funny that the foot pegs can be folded in completely. Hehe.

:btw: Did you just bought a Ducati again .............. :slurp:

yes... could not stay away from ducati for long. like i said in the monster thread, i need to complement all the ducati shirts i bought when i was riding the monster. it's an old sportsbike but it has not aged. it was my dream bike when i was in school and finally i get to own one... the last few immaculate ones in singapore.

THANKS!

Just got back from the HD showroom after sending in my bike for servicing. The HD guy told me that the Iron was collected yesterday and i told myself you finally got your ride. Congratulations!

The guy told me that there are 4 to 5 Irons on the road in Singapore. S'pore is about 42km by 24km and i've never spotted the Iron on the road. Went to Picadilly Circus (not the seletar but the london one) last week and I spotted an Iron. Had to travel half way around the world to see it in the 'metal' :faint:

But i must say that it is one of those bikes that look as good on paper and youtube as it does in the 'metal'. :thumb:

Are you going for the HD launch this Fri?? The HD guy said that there wont be any Iron on display unless some owner volunteer theirs for display. Will you be that owner??!! :bounce:

Thanks Gary!

I guess there are exactly 4 Irons (2 x 2009 and 2 x 2010) on the island now. Don't say about Iron, even for the Street Triple (more than 10 in Singapore), I havent not seen one on the road.

Hmm going to the launch maybe .. but displaying the bike, definitely no ... hehe. But you guys can come and see the bike at the car park during the launch (if I am going). I just don't feel like displaying my bike on the stage and letting pple touch it all over.

Have you bought your exhaust yet?

No leh ... ride for a while and see first. It'll get louder as I run-in right? Exhaust so loud how to come home late at night uh? You guys just off the engine and push the bike in or just ride as per normal but try to keep it down?

It's funny that I worry about loud exhausts as I used to have termi pipes on my Monster  But I was below 30yrs old then. It must be the age catching up ..

Anyone fixed PC III or PC V on their HD? Any feedbacks?

Think my Fuelpak from V&H is kinda crappy... looking fo change...

Whats wrong with the fuelpak?

I have the PCIII. I had bad popping on deceleration (FXDC). They also dyna tuned it. Forget how much it cost, but not cheap. I cant say that I am happy with the results as it still pops a lot even after taking it back. Better to leave it be. Or just get the PCIII, and use the canned software for your aircleaner and pipes. Dont dyna tune it.

I dont think the PCV has too many advantages (except its smaller). If you are going to mod your engine a lot, then need to get the auto tuner which is separate purchase.

Also, the bikes run lean from the factory, so the tuners will enrichen the mixture, which mileage will suffer. But prob not much difference to the fuelpak.

Only 2 places to get the PC that I know of, both in the Alexandra shops.

Bike too heavy to push... Some of the pipes are not too bad at low rpm, but really loud when open her up. But for the Sportys, the VH short pipes in black really look nice - but are loud!

No, the exhaust wont get louder after you run in on a stock pipe. As for coming back home late, just ride normally and once reach yr slot, just off the engine.park it. next day going off early, do the same thing, only start the bike when you are ready to move off, dont wait for the bike to totally run in for 2-3 mins(that really sound disturbung for neighbours), cause your fuel injected engin will run in automaticaly while moving.

As for those who really afraid yr exhaust too loud, off engine from a distance and glide in........dont ride harley.

I put the PCV and had a Dyno tune last week after putting on the SE high flow air filter. I'm riding an 07 FLSTC (1584cc).

Responsiveness is greatly improved and all flat spots etc. eliminated. Performance improved significantly through the full range paticularly bottom end. Red line is now at 6.2k rpm up from 5.5k rpm - not much chance to use 6th gear in Singapore anymore. Engine also seems to be running cooler and overall ride somewhat smoother. Not cheap but in my opinion worth it.

Having said that I think my 1200R (05 carby model) is still quicker off the mark.

Cheers
