Ok for the next ride, how about the E22 expressway ride??!! Woohoo! Basically a cooler name for the sinai-desaru expressway. Its 77km one way. We can make it a day ride. In fact it can be done in half a day. Reached, chill out at the beach with beer or coke, return.

bout how long does a ride to desaru take?

 

Well, technically if there is no toll stop, no pee break or petrol break and we ride at 77km/h constantly, we'll reach there in 1 hour. But taking into consideration toll and breaks here and there and the fact that we'll probably ride averagely at 100km/hr, i'd say we'd get there in 1hr 15mins to 1hr 30mins.

Bout how much are the tolls? Heard that they could reach up to RM30 to 40 on the north-south highway.

I just checked out the website, it appears that bike may be toll free as it was not mentioned. Car, truck, bus, taxi were mentioned but not bikes. The total toll for car to Desaru would be R11.90 but there is a one month toll free from 10 Jun to 9 Jul. Also, the cable bridge over the Johor river looks fantastic. Looks like the golden gate bridge. Is this looking like a sweet plan now? Oh btw, i don't work for the malaysian tourism board - haha.

 

Anyway, just dropped an email to handlebar to find out when Sembawang branch will open. Will update here when i get the reply.

Bike is toll free. Only when u chop passport there must pay. Fri night just a simple night fuel run with supper. Sat can't confirm yet. Still got a lot of things to do with work to clean up. Sigh.

Great, looks like the poll for this ride campaign is looking up. Actually i wasn't thinking of this weekend but rather the following weekend onwards. This sat is a bit rush. Like what PBS said, i think we should do a meet up first to do some planning beforehand. So when's a good time for the meet up? Unfortunately ah veo can't do weekends. I'm game for weekday too if everybody is game.
