some pic on last night ride!!

p.s VW bora not included...

Nice job! Btw, big boss's bike is also missing....:cheeky:

Went down to KC just now, found the following problems on my bike:-

1) Squeaking sound of suspension: Turnbukle rod ends is faulty.

2) Loose left hand exhaust: Riveting of carbon ends are loose.

He advise me to come back on Sat and promise will rectify the above in half a day. This I seriously doubt so :dot:

Nothing much has been done, he was busy with a yellow S4R:angry:

Dude which area do you live? I'm sure all our guys would look out for it. Sorry about the loss of parts, must be painful. Is the belly pan just for monster or can jap bikes use also? May not be a fellow monster owner who stole it but who knows. Hope it gets resolved soon.

Novena.... belly pan maybe other bikes can use.... but the seat cowl...hmmm

somehow I feel I am being watched for some time liow before they took action....

Just wondering if anyone has 'run dry' on their Monster (S4 or 900)and find out what is the fuel tank capacity.

I read that it is 14 lit but on the owner's manual it is stated 15 lit.

Thanks

never dared to go totally empty but i remember warning light coming one, going another 40km then pumping in about 13 litres or just a little more. 14 litres sounds about right but with all fuel tanks there is some unusuable quantity of fuel so i'd reckon 13.5 litres is about as far as you can push it. Personally i think the ducati fuel warning light comes on wayyyyy to early. better safe than sorry i guess

Went down to Gerry today to check on my bike's problem. While riding there feels front end a bit funny.... Upon, further investigation at Gerry, found that my front wheel bearings GONE!. Further check also revealed my front brake pads' caliper side corroded. Got them replaced.

Exhaust was also re-riveted. (Almost coming off if i do not rectify it) The whole job took 2 hours and paid a slightly high price as compared to KC. But what the heck, at least I got some of the problems solved which are priceless.... :thumb:

Some tuning yes.. its just an hour job.. after I change to carbon GPR slip on, tuning is a must as the exhaust enables the engine to breath better.. Went to Race Werks for tuning... Wat they recommend is they will wash ur carb then they will tune it.. $$ is abt $50 I not too sure as I change a few stuff at the same time thats y...

Hi Randy... I'm thinking of swapping to carbon GPR as well. I remember you mentioned you paid $1350 with tuning at KC?

Did you have to re-tune again at Racewerks?

Cheers!

Hi guys,

This morning, I discovered the following missing from my Monster.

1. Seat Cowl

2. Belly-Pan

If there are any guys who know someone else who is selling or respraying these items to their bike colour, you can contact the Investigating Officer whose number I will attached below. Reason is, my bike is blue in colour which is quite rare and the thief is suspected to be a fellow Monster rider as these items will only fit a Monster. This makes it even more painful.

WTF!!! This is bad news man. I'm sorry for your loss dude but we need to get this a**h*le and whack him silly! Now I'm worried for my new CFs. Need to find a way to secure them against theft or at least make the removing process more difficult. Will certainly keep a lookout.

Cheers!

Cheers Ducateers!

sorry for your loss. what a scum, want it, go buy it la... steal from a fellow brother.... this guy would have to remove your locked seat to remove the seat cowl right?

dudes... monster seat lock is known for its insecurity. try a few keys and I'm sure u'll be able to unlock it with one...pretty easily. u might wanna consider changing your locks.

Cheers Ducateers!

I like ur monster... Swee... good job done...!! Ok as for my pipes I ordered from K.C but u can also order from G.P.R Singapore itself. The carbon pipes I paid $1350/- and K.C did a little tuning for me.. It was ok, then I itchy hand went to Race Werks to do some stuff = spray my frame + engine, rewire my bike a little, engine oils, plugs valve Clearance, wash carb, tuning normal (not dyno) and new belts.. It took them 3weeks which is rather quick.. The itchy danage cost me $$1000/- not too ex actually lucky... My bike is doing well now... Race Werks did a good job in tuning.. also theres another shop which is Gerry Louis if I'm not wrong somewhere near Pasir Ris not sure of exact place they r not bad also.. Well whichever shop u think is nearer for u which is the most important factor for most. All the above shops mention u could try.. Cheers :thumb:

Sorry so many posts in a day... but I'm looking for open airbox ring... anyone got lobang locally? Tks!

264_large.jpg

hi there nice work with your bike, why not just cut open your airbox cover? Seen a lot of monsters all over the place with cut airbox covers. It looks little ghetto but its free and with the fuel tank down who'll notice? Or you could get even more adventurous hehe:

http://i246.photobucket.com/albums/gg82/blackreplica/DSC00162-1-1.jpg

You will DEFINITELY need to go with bigger jets on your carbs if you open your airbox though, the bike will simply run like ass until the fuelling is sorted.

I also used to have the GPR pipes on my old monster (see pic below). The CF covering on the pipes are a lighter colour than the blacked out theme you've got on your bike. It may not be a visual match. But they are good pipes, relatively cheap, and street legal. The Termi/Remus cans are a darker shade though and may cosmetically match your bike a lot better. the remus is street legal but will cost more. I think Arrow cans are a lighter shade like the GPRs. The bike will run ok without rejetting if you swap out the pipes.

http://i246.photobucket.com/albums/gg82/blackreplica/Ducati1Small.jpg

Going with a free-er breathing intake and exhaust system on the monster is a good idea: the stock airbox/exhaust collector design is heavily flawed, there is a very severe airflow restriction. Most of the exhaust restriction lies in the header pipe though, and end can swaps have little impact on reducing restriction. With the carby monsters swapping the cans will yield about 2-4 HP at most, and that is provided re-jetting is done. If possible maybe you could consider a full system upgrade with your exhausts if you'll willing to go all the way one day.

If you'd like more advice on performance mods or something you can PM me i'll be happy to help you out. Its hard to talk about performance mods here without getting paranoid about 'big brother' if you know what i mean

Congrats again on your custom monster job!

Moreover, the theft happened outside a PUB power room which a 24 hr camera is present. The footages will be viewed to see who the culprit is.

So if u r the guilty party, before this become big; I am willing to take back the items and probably drop the criminal charges if possible. PM me and I promise your privacy will be kept.

Thanks.

there are at least 2 for sale in the used bike section. one yellow and one red. The red is a little pricy but i am sure its negotiable. i saw the yellow one in KC recently, new paint job, looks pretty good.
