@annuar71 but I took 4hrs to do it ahahaha but I discovered the throttle cable needs to replace hence im stripping it again to gain access. Anyway my candy red cover set juz collected. So excited to have it install. Left few more pjcts before I have the cover set install.

-rear master pump piston replace coz stuck intermittent

-diy led solder speedometer

-coolant flush

-top box add shock sensor

-throttle cable replace

-oem decals

-mudguard add on flap

-synchronization of throttle bodies

-hella supertone horns wif relay

-usb output charger

If got time grounding.

Thinking of upgrading to the fjr1300.... the next shipment to hong leong is in July. Just wondering, can the side boxes fit a full face helmet? Do you guys have problems in carparks entering by the side of the barrier?

no problems fitting a hjc ff helmet (which is one of the larger ones around).

 

some carparks with tighter than normal clearance cannot squeeze, but most can. eg: marina square. mustafa old carpark entrance is no problem, but exit is abit tricky as the gantry and gap is at the bend

Just bought the 2013 model recently. Interested in buying the original yamaha inner bag for the pannier in Singapore. Can anyone recommend me a shop as I'll be going to Singapore in mid June. Btw, I'm from Penang.

Wow! Total strip down. Wish I could do that but not enuff time and workspace. Keep us updated of your projects. Btw, nice paint job. Can they do touch ups?

While riding, the temp is 2 bar above half, meaning total got 10bar, I'm riding with 7 bar. Normal?

TTSH no.dont event try. not enough space.demanded the carpk staff to open up the barrier for me to go thru.Big hoohaa. wasted my time and jam up the carpk entrance.till the BMW behind me tried to talk to the staff. where she dont even bother to look thru the cctv and kept insisting " just squeeze..Motor free" i even have to tell her. i can pay for car LOT...

 

not all carpk can squeeze.just scan IU and go thru easier.

When did u last went to TTSH? Really meh fjr unable to squeeze thru the left lane.? Ur talking about the spiral slope, parking entrance from the taxi stand right? Main building.

Missed my old FJR.. My previous FJR was an 08 model. Yes, normal shd be ard 5-6 bar. Idling a while shd reach 7 bar. Its a hot bike but definitely lots of power.

Since yours is an 08, suggest u do a coolant flush if its not been done before. Hopefully it'll bring down the temp slightly.

But all sounds normal for an 08 bro..

Nope, i'm riding the Black Colour. You could try trading in your bike at SK Cycle(Under I-Motoring) at Ubi Road 1, Block 3007, 5th shop on the right. Opposite a coffeeshop. I traded in my R1'09 for a better price than Hong Leong could offer me. And the FJR is cheaper than Hong Leong. And also, some freebies like sliders & headlight protector. If you want, you can drop by there and show him your bike, See how much he willing to take in. Say i recommend. I'm the only one that bought a Black FJR1300 '2013. I think my White R1 still there. Look For Ah Loong.

hi seniors. I'm looking at brand new 2013 FJR or 2013 Kawa 1400 and would like to get more information before i can make my decision.

 

1) what is the FC like? 15-17km/l depending on rider, road conditions, weight, etc...

2) Maintenance wise cost will be like? For me, its a reasonable class 2 bike. Take note only EO using 4Litres per change w filter(4bottles). Nothing much to 'service' until 40k kms to check valve clearance. Other class 2 bikes will have the standard wear and tears to change/service at the stipulated intervals(Air Filter, Coolant, S.Plugs,etc)

3) any special things to take note? like top servicing for how many KM. as this would be a long time ride for me. For the 2013 model, its still very new in the market. Top overhaul and other major servicing not known yet. But based on previous editions of the FJR, this is one hell of a reliable sport-touring(ST) motorcycle. If you're looking for a bang for buck ST with class, updated electronics(Cruise control, heated grips, traction control, etc) reliability, minimal issues, this is the bike for you.

4) is it a difficult bike to handle? I'm under 65kg,

The dam good part I really like about this bike is the throttle control. The ride-by-wire(RBW) is by far the best throttle control and response I've had in my riding years. It's not too twitchy such that controlling the bike at slow speed becomes a PITA; the engine really comes to life once you twist your right wrist just slightly more. The wonder of EFI + RBW technology.
