Some site say it will give a deep low tone and louder rev. Well, after shipping it cost you around S$500. An after market doubles that? The Two Bothers look damn good. Too bad no street legal. :nono:

HL cant identify the problem unless i leave it there for them to check.

There is no fault code.

I din leave the bike there cos not sure how long they will take.

They suggested that i try fiddling with the CO levels.

The bike stalled agian yesterday and this morning after warm up.

RPM dipped to 500 after the auto-choke phase.

Noticed some knocking as well.

RPM will stable after 5 mins of riding.

Not sure who to turn to now for help.

Now trying to adjust the CO levels day by day.

go to motor factor and look for alex.

he trouble shoot for me my bike step by step the last time I had a similar probelm as u. then eventually he found out that it is a TPS fault.

this is a common problem amongst the R1/R6/Fz1/Fz6 in 03/04.

maybe now spread to the FJRers :help:

There is no fault code in the diagnostic.

Manually checked the TPS got no dip between close & open positions.

Almost out of my wits liao.

u can try to bring it to another bike shop of your choice to troubleshoot if HL can't find out the problem.

have to check each element on the bike to find out:-

fuel pump?

msia fuel problem?

air filter dirty?

vacuum tube loose/cracked?

plug foul?

efi unit?

.

.

.

Thanks.

I'm thinking of checking the air filter tonight. Hv also used Spore fuel.

More technical one I cant managed liao. May hv to go Alex if things dun improve.

Reason why i went back to HL twice is bcos the prob surfaced only after they replaced my tensioner. May be its just coincidental... Was hoping that they could be more experience & competent with yamaha's machine. Guess reality could be a little distance from expectations.

Any bro with service manual can help me to flip thru the manual to see any common trouble shooting items to look out for. Thanks in advance.

Bro i had this problem B4. Same case sometime will even stall after 2 min of ridding at low RPM. And during warmup, the exhaust smell of petrol is sooooo rich. Went to loois and found out that one of the spark plug is coated with thick carbon. Which means too rich on that cylinder. After tuning is done everything went back smoothly. U might want that as a reference

May i know what tuning did you do?

CO levels?

Dont think its CO level. Juz tunning from the injection carb only using the normal tunning kit that plug into the 4 cylinder nipple and it will show their synchornisation.. and i change a new set of original plug at that time also. I have done it at loois with mengtong.

That sounds like throttle body synchronization.

Too bad it din help to reslove the problem.
