Anyone know where is the bike shop 'southern'? Heard from one of my frens that a lot of FJRs went to service there.... anyone of you sevice there?

 

Its at bukit merah. Along De-Xing that row but not beside. I think the mechanic specialize in FJR is called Ah Heng. But someone says his quality service depends on your age. So if you are >45yrs old, u can try.

Oohh... SHiit... stop it stop it.. I can't hold it man...

 

I still looking ard and can't make a decision.

 

Be patient. Wait for a good deal. More and more pple are taking up this bike. So it means more and more 2nd hands will be available. And 06 model has been left unchanged for 3 years(including next year). So maybe 09 we'll have more gadgets.

If you were to ask, I think some of the FJRians and ex-FJRians here will recommend you to go to HKL and look for Ah Keong... (I am not advertising for HKL...)

 

But then to each his own, everybody has their own favourite bike shop and mechanics to to go to. So you can go try out and decide which shop and mechanic you are comfortable with. :)

Just got one... But only use if we happen to go track. Sianz.. No one here wants to go, I oso dun dare to go with others...

bro u do need proper attire to go to track.but.. you might be wearing full suit all gear up by track u never fall down...

 

then you go nasi lemak at kulai wear yr sliper and shorts then u had a fall.

 

im not cursing you bro

 

but as a friend is better to be ready anytime and anywhere...

 

it wise to gear up bro..

 

go kulai also we never ride slow ride.. straight road all shoot 200~220km/h

 

hehehe

Yes, I agree. They have the cheapest tyres in town.. But then again, to each his own, some others may have other source of getting cheaper tyres.

 

But it is true that a few FJRians, ex and current do go to HKL Ah Keong to service their babies.

 

But ultimately it is still up to each individual's preferances... :)

bro i have good sources told me that if there is a particular shop that could sell tyre that is cheaper then HKL do approach the HKL boss with the reciept of purchase of the tyres and the HKL boss will start to give the price or even cheaper... example 021 they are selling 360 both front and back if you guys could source cheaper do let us FJR ppl know then we all go to that shop and show him the reciept.. he will give more discount..

It doesn't make any difference whether a motorcyclist has the right-of-way or not, the rider is the one most likely to get hurt.

Bro, is the 1600 the cost of a pair of remus pipes? Then wat's the cost of the leo vince pair?

Southern is next to or 2 shops away from Universal Motors, where I bought my Super 4 in 2000. Alexandra Village area. Near HQ 1st Div. Entrance is directly opposite the entrance to Alexandra Hospital.
