Agreed, Called him, he hasn't check up yet, say he busy, so i'll be going there in the afternoon to see what is the problem.

 

Really need to know what could be the cause of it. Hopefully as Mutant-sheep says, it's not a piston jam, as it would be a whole lot off issues. but with the situation at hand and Ah Keong not being very receptive at this point, i think i bugged him since morning on the condition, just now he sounded abit off liao so i'll go buy coffee for him tomorrow see whats the status like in the afternoon.

BTW, saw some FJRs last weekend in Hatyai, seen a FBB-plated Silver FJR, riden by someone with a pony-tail, seems to me like a Gal, wonder if its anyone in here?? was with some Fazer 600s and a Super 4!!

Why never consider towing it to HL instead of HKL? Scarly warranty can cover the issue.

 

Not to worry too much though cos HKL / Ah Jiang also beri competent in his servicing. Mine also serviced by him.

Went up to Haatyai -> Krabi, stopover at Cameron Islands on the way back home wif a group of guys from SBF Forum. The best part, we were all strangers in the beginning and most of us are newbie riding up north.

 

1 FJR, 2 FZ1, 2 FZ6, 1 Vara1K, 1 S4. A wonderful trip.

 

Oso saw another fellow FJRian with an ST11 and other bikers at Haatyai oso whilst me having breakfast.

Its at bukit merah. Along De-Xing that row but not beside. I think the mechanic specialize in FJR is called Ah Heng. But someone says his quality service depends on your age. So if you are >45yrs old, u can try.

I went over to HL yesterday pertaining to the possiblity of bringing in the FJR1300AE with the YCC-S chip....

He says they will be bringing it in but only mid next year...

I'm now confused....

A fellow forumer said that they not bringing it in...

Then in a different email correspondence, they said they bringing it in Feb 08...

Haiz, Guess ill just have to play the wait and see game....

Hatyai Hotel Rama for 1 night and 2 nights in Greeneary Hotel in Krabi Town.

The gal is organizer pillion whois riding FZ1.

In total, there are 8 pax, 7 bikes.

hahaha! i'm used to dat liao. Lotsa times mistaken for a lady, from behind lah.

Once i was riding, stopped my bike at traffic light, can hear wolf-whistles from behind. Turn ard to look at them, those guys had a rude shock when they realize i'm a guy and can see their faces all blushing.

Haven't had the time to see her cos work is also very very tedious at my end and to add to the problem is the lack of transporation.

 

anyways, She's been open up and as feared the timing chain ruptured its damaged the internal parts and now ah keong is trying to get a quote from the suppliers, hopefully i'll go down to the on monday, to see what is the damage like. *Shakes his head*

 

i still am shocked, i only went for rear brake disc/brake pad changes and synconising just 3 weeks ago after noticing the idling was a tad bit high. Was pending to send her in for a oil change this week.

 

Very Depressed now.

I guess we're all hearing different stories from different people. Only way to know which is true is to wait and see, like you said. The one who told me the clutchless ones not coming is also from HL.

 

If you're really serious abt getting the bike with this system, I suggest you do thorough research first on the pros and cons of this system and the possible costs you may incur if shi_t happens.

 

On another note, anyone know where is a good place and what the price is to get a tank bra for the FJR?
