Hi to all, me encounter slight fogging twice after riding in the rain and it went away the next day. It on both headlights lower corner towards the front.

Would like to know did anyone encounter this headlight fogging issue.

Went down to HL, they claim it is normal for fjr, it is due to condensation and it will go away after 2-3 hours.

Btw bike is a 2010 model.

Regards,

isnt that why the call it fog lights?

what usually works is, unplug the rubber seal at the stem where the wires goes into the headlight unit, undo the latch, remove bulb.

park somewhere unshaded, treeless, for a couple of hours, hopefully u get the ridiculous burning rays we've been getting. u need preferably the 10am-3pm sun.

put everything back together, make sure the rubber seals sit properly, having your headlights shorting is worst than fog.

quite a common problem, no biggie, even a 1 day old 1198s can have foggy headlights believe it or not.

Good Luck! :)

Most people go through life following the crowd.

Others think for themselves.

They go their own way.

I'm not sure how's the headlight assy is like for FJR. If it is not an entirely sealed and airtight assy, then I guess a little condensation is inevitable. But for cars, if there is condensation in the headlight assy, you can actually get the whole headlight assy replaced under warranty. At least thats true for Borneo motors (Toyota)
