1st owner

Pros:

1. New bike no problem

2. Still under warranty from agent. Replace any faults FOC.

3. Will definitely be more "intimate" than wife/gf

 

Cons:

1. High price (unless u can afford it of cos)

2. Bcos its new, ur basic riding(no matter hw many yrs experience) will slightly be affected bcos scared bike scratch, hit bump too hard, scared dirty.

This does not apply to all lah......

 

3rd Owner

Pros:

1. Bike is more affordable

2. Definitely seasoned bike can take on anything

3. Engine more rugged

4. If ur lucky, previous owner may install many accessory so no nid to buy thus save $$$

 

Cons:

1. Obvious wear n tear on engine parts and perhaps cosmetics

2. Pls take note IMPORTANTLY ur Tensioner and Timing Chain (find out if its been replaced before or not)

3. Wont know for sure if bike have been involved in any major accidents before or not.

 

All in all, like the guys said its up to individual. Some find pleasure in doing up a bike from scratch while others find it a pain in the arse.

FJR is very easy to maintain, just ensure Engine oil and Shaft oil changed religiously and u will have a problem free ride. Things like Tensioner and Timing chain are wear n tear and its based on how riders maintain their ride. As long no abnormal sound shd be alrite.

The slight "ticking" sound experienced by most of FJR riders i believe are pretty common and even u changed the part it will sure to tick again. But loose tensioner sound are loud "Krang krang krang!!".

 

Just my 2 cents as per my ex FJR experience.. Pardon me if i have said anything wrong hehehe.. Just sharing tots only.

thats for sure-new one at HL will cost ard 31-33k region.ours is a good deal. but like africakali mention,no market..is not no market, FJR is always meant for mature groups.so are other tourers.. is not easy to have a buyer who is really into tourer.

by selling back to shops, they have the worst market rates.but people please rem, u may buy it cheaper in price but interest incur is 5-7% more then if u buy direct owner.
