Yeah, got the first hand, can say roughly 33k OTR, checked a few place, roughly the same la,

Second hand was hard to find, counted, if get a first hand, every month another 100bucks then 2nd hand, so muz as well. Was planning to get a car, but the car expenses was super high, so gonna ride another 2years instead..

hi guys . how does the fjr do for the daily commute and in jams? is the heat unbearable? Im thinking of trying out a FJR . As i do light touring ( 4-6 times a year) , was thinking if this bike would be suitable for the daily grind assuming with side boxes removed. Reason i wanna try the fjr is cos my z1k was kinda tiring riding to cameron (windblast ) and i cudant bring my gf along cos its a naked bike haha. Hope to hear some feedback. Anyone selling their FJR>?

Depends on the purpose u want to use the duplicate key for..

If to open side pannier, seat and fuel tank..u can always do duplicate at any key shop..no need to have master key to copy the chip frequency.

But if for starting bike..need to have the master key for duplication..

For duplicate key without master key, u can turn on bike...BUT u cant start it.

Unless the original key is very near the ignition.. I mean very near. Tested. Try riding with duplicate key before and the original key clip together. Didn't try to put the original key further..u might want to try and feedback to us..

It all depends on the rider.

I've squeezed thru jams..some s4 even can't keep up. But it all depends on luck too..

Heat for YAMAHA bikes are often hotter than others..maybe becoz they're HOT. haha..

Install better fans..divert hot air to the road..no issue Liao.

But do rmbr the body frame still remains hot..so do grip lightly during rides..

The heat is still reasonable and bearable and wont make you feel like selling the bike away because of the heat.. So no worries..

Nope bro.. When compared with my friend's 2007 R1, R1 is waaayyy hotter...

Squeezing will be easy once you get used to the bike.. For me, I make use of the side mirrors as a guide and things aren't that difficult afterall..

 

I'm standing at 1.60+m and and I have to tip toe when Im stopping.. Once the bike is upright, you wont feel the weight actually.. And during making u-turns, proper handling with proper speed control will make it turn smoothly.. No issue.. The main thing is getting used to the bike.. First few rides, just be extra careful.. Then, everything will be fine..
