Alan, I set the set the preload as you suggested and now the bike's more nimble. It feels like it wants to corner now, a slight lean and it magically steers to the side already. Now the rear seems a little sluggish.

Pragmatic indeed. I thought you are getting some clamps for that?

 

Voltmeters are a dime and dozen locally. Are you getting something special you can't find locally? Else may not be cheaper, or more expensive with shipping.

The clamps are expensive, USD100++, so I evaluate the stainless steel brackets sold in hardware shop and some minor modification it cost less than S$10. So far I have mount the GPS and tested twice on the road and its sturdy as rock and provide a good view.

 

I bought my voltmeter inclusive of shipping for S$10. :thumb:

A voltmeter for $10 sounds reasonable!

 

Shop sell and install for at least $50++

 

The $10 voltmeter I bought from Ebay

I will use clear silicon to apply to the back of the circuity to waterproof it and use 3M tape to stick above the speedo.

Any recommendations for aftermarket pipes for a gen 1 z1000? The stock ones are nice looking but way too quiet. Was quoted $1400 for high mounted GPR.
