Today went down to ubi, and since i was in the area decided to pay ah chong a visit to get a bar to attach in between my 2 side boxes to prevent them from flapping.

I asked ah chong for a piece of "chou tie" (smelly metal) but he said sorry don't have.... only have "xiang tie" (nice smelling metal)....

So he gave me a long bar with screw thread throughout similar to the one on debbie's FAZER, and i asked him how much he said free!!! Then i asked him what drink he want. he said no need.... whoa take the bar and run!!!! ahhahahha!

Then as i was leaving got one fat guy on a phantom want to come up the ramp as i was backing my bike out from the shop, then refuse to give way leh.... don't want to move!! Also dono what that guy mumbling thru his full face helmet.... so i no choice, accelerate back up the ramp to ah chong's shop and let the guy thru....

So i backed out my bike successfully this time and overheard the conversation between the fat guy and ah chong.

Fat guy, "I want to service my bike.... fast fast, i in a hurry."

And then ah chong look at him and shout "FAST LAN JIAO LA!!!!"

HAHHAHAHAHHA!! Classic ah chong!! I buay tahan just laugh out loud... and when the fat guy was servicing the bike he didn't even bother to get off the bike while changing EO!! Wow he really must have been in a big fat hurry!! :cheeky:

haha,, bo chio.. :)

My rear brake has sharp pitch sound when braking after new brake pad and disc are replaced.

Went to a bike shop at boon lay and the boss suggested to replace the 'pad' of brake pump or valve at $40+.

Then I called my advisor planet ah chong and told him the symptoms, he said where got pad of brake pump/valve one, and advised me just to top up brake fluid only. So went down to LAB and got a DOT4 brake fluid at $8. After topping up, the noise is greatly reduced.

:thumb: ah chong honest boss!

ah chong also saved me once from being chopped carrot by a motorshop at red hill.

better phone him first for prices before servicing at other unfamiliar motorshops.

his number 90220203.

I might go there to do DIY oil change - buying some bottles of Amsoil fully synthetic from a private seller ($18 only!! And good American brand).

Locally available synthetics usually cost in the range of $30-50 bucks depending on brand. Motul 300v is a great choice.

Prices of Motul oil may increase in the near future due to supply and demand issues. The famous M300V may have the price raised by $5.

Source - Dr Chong.

His service was damned fast today despite the long queue at 6.30pm. I just parked my bike (wrong way in the traffic on the street even cos no space liao) and before I knew it I was standing around watching Chong change EO and repair 4 Phantoms at once.

I don't know about the oil bit but are the quad carbs balanced? If one cylinder is out of synch the whole engine will act crazy.

Not sure about packages but Planet has a huge following of S4s too.

Chong and crew are busy when the rest of the neighbouring shop people are sitting around doing nothing.

Oh and his road tax discs were sold out LOL

my carb was washed and tuned and replaced all 4 jet needles when i got my spec 1.

how to know if the carb is out of synch? i dunno abt this.

OWS EO really cannot make it cuz only 1 month less than 1000km, the eo level drop to half marking alrdy and causes alot of heat and unstable noise at the engine, and also the idling rpm keep fluctuating. any recommendation??

Lubrication failure. Although a bike eating up EO this fast is definitely 'sick'. Try to go Planet in the morning and say to Chong "bike something wrong" plus describe your issues. He will test ride and give you a diagnosis.

Test ride is FOC.
