I repaired my bike with him before, but within a month the problem persist. Like this will he honour any type of warranty? Or i pay normally??

 

Just go on down to check with him. In my experience when such a thing happens, he will change e part again but u wont pay full cost. It really depends la.

but good thing abt him also he can help to troubleshoot and confirm what i tink is the problem...but if he do not have the spare part...he wont charge on trouble shooting costs....

I ride at 70km/hr only...please please dont blow2 at me or overtake me dangerously....wait i change into Incredible Hulk n dont know why my little baby bike will always be ahead of u if u do that

anyway is planet busy on saturaday afternoon after 3pm?

 

planet is damn busy in the morning on sat. he will advise afternoon on that day

but no major stuff on weekend

yeah morning very busy 1. have to wait very long. sometimes i go there around 9am to be the first 1. rather then come later to queue will wait longer than come early haha.

Do you all go there for routine servicing? If yes, I don't see the point having to wait for so long just to do that.

I go there regular service but i dont wait for long cuz i dont go on saturaday peak. The last time i went there was last week a weekday afternoon, patch my rear wheel change EO and filter. Go there straight away ah chong service my bike liao no waiting time at all.

 

The last time i go there on saturaday morning was to fetch my gf to cdc, might as well go there service. I dont like to go other place also. always ask me to change this and that when nothing wrong with my bike.

So i suppose the best time to go planet is weekday afternoon?

1st visit to Planet yesterday. Ah Chong really put in effort to find out the root of the problem of my bike. :thumb:

I replied "Is Ah Chong in?"

He did not intro himself as Ah Chong, but just ask me to ride inside & ask me what's wrong with my bike. I only found out he's Ah Chong when I was about to leave. Lol!

107th time at Planet

mood: I miss my Planet! :cry:

 

Went to Planet to change engine oil and air filter. Trying out the Elf brand support Singapore product for a while.

While at Planet, the China mech serviced my bike, while changing oil, I asked Ah Chong if he can change the speed meter bulb, since it doesn't light up at night. But the bolts are rounded and cannot be unscrewed, Ah Chong said if it was not on the fuel tank, he would have welded a nut onto the bolt head and turn it out, but he dared not do it with my bike with a 3/4 tank, so I guess I will have to live with a blown meter bulb until my next tank of fuel. :(

 

While joking that if the fuel tank blow, even if he want to compensate me with another Phantom, also cannot find one as cute as mine. :shy: And I cheekily joke with him that my Phantom is like a Shadow's little brother, and there was just nice , swee swee, a Shadow with similar side boxes and fuel tank parked next to mine. :cheeky: And Ah Chong gave one of his signature chuckle. :)

 

While Ah Chong was fiddling with the meter's chrome cover, I also asked him to weld a high heel onto the bike stand, but the China mech recommended to change a new stand because the stand was curved after a hit and run in the carpark. But there was no new stand in the shop, so Ah Chong got me a 2nd hand on from a scrapped Phantom.

 

Total cost $35, but Ah Chong got no change so charged me only $34! :lol:

 

Go!!!!!!! Planet!!!!! :thumb: :cheer:

Im not a frequent bikeshop visitor but I got to know thru a forumer that he purchased a used bike from chong.. does chong sldo sell bike??
