upz for planet and his never ending cool jokes which will always make your day a happy...

The more I ride my SV, the less I care about going to the annual bike show and looking at new,

9th time there 31/12/2007 Morning 10:50am weather: Sunny!:)

Early morning go there, first thing see the nearest mech, young guy wearing specs, told him "My phantom today got 3 things to do."

1.Tighten fork (actually is steering cone, I garbra!). :cheeky:

2.Change engine oil.

3.Replace 2 blown light bulbs at the speedo meter.

The mech hear liao, ask "Tighten fork? Fork can tight one mare? You got change steering cone last week right?"

Wah! Like that he also know.

When the guy was changing engine oil, I saw another mech using a brush to apply something onto another bike's chain.

My backside itchy, go and see, and saw that the label on the can was "Adhesive" Our chain can put Super glue mare?

Sure or not?

Kee! Kee! The mech later told me actually inside the can is gear oil. :D

Reminds me that my chain wax at home also running low. So bought a big big can of chain wax from Ah Chong also. $20... Haizzz every month need to pay so much for lubing chain ...

Ask Ah Chong if got other alternatives like gear oil, he say he don't sell, but the big can he has can Kappo a bit for me!

Yeah!

(Other shop heck care you, want to save money use cooking oil lah! Where got still give you free thing)

Later when changing blub, saw the chrome cover, outside polish until sibei shinning, but inside kanna sai... rusty all over.

Told the mech to wait a bit I go and brush off the dirt and rust off the tank andshake off as much of the rust from the inside, too bad no time to do a thorough job.

Ah Chong then quicky tighten the steering cone with the Big Big spanner, and then gave me a small can of gear with some gear oil. This time use semi syn engine oil. NASA label with American flag.

Total cost for Tightening steer cone, Changing engine oil, Replacing 2 bulbs and Buying a big can of chain wax, only $33 nia

Even got 1 can of gear oil (gear oil free !) :)

Motorcyclist are the nicest people on the road, try not to kill us.
