S4 Carburetor Servicing

Good info on the carb servicing...Do you guys think i need to retune my carb?..mine is a few weeks old spec 3 juz finished running in..Heard from someone that the factory adjust the carb abit rich for new bikes..

Nah , don't think you need to re tune your bike. Its still so new and everything its so smooth and all. I don't think you need spend that kinda money and what if after tuning and all it turn out to be worst than factory setting . Relax and enjoy your ride man brother, what you hear is what you hear only . don't have to spend that kinda money and don't be paranoid .

but sometimes i just wondering how they tune the new bike since it came out of the box n have to assemble. just imagine urs is the last set of the day the mech have to be assemble want to go back early all do chop2. hahahahah.

 

back to topic. i wanna ask. if let say u all say wash n tune, how do they tune or wat do they tune? A/F ratio? by wat? by listening tru the ears? like 2 stroke setting? or they sync the carb? so wic tune issit?

That makes me wonder too but then maybe their engineers do their calculations already.So maybe most of the bikes carb setting is ok except for a few.No one is perfect.HEHEH!!

might want to try win yap at amk ave 10 ind park 1.... look for ali..... he is one of the best mech.... quite cheap n he love to see girlss

now it only hit around 110 or less when i hit 7k rpm in 6th gear ,

does that means i need service carb ????

yup knt is a good workshop... he even explain u thoroughly what might happens to ur bike.... did my service carb there.... luckily... previous workshop i go service tune until want to tune again the tuning screw stuck... so better go knt... not going to the previous workshop anymore... tune will be 40bucks ,wash tune 70, regular(did service carb previously)- tuning 30bucks...

i did my servising at JB panjang at RM340. not bad. change orig oil filter, 4 denso plug, 4 MOTUL 5100 and 2 n half hours of waiting. he wash up my carb n did setting. compare 2 Bt Batok HuaChing, price me at $214.

hi guys,

i hav some ques here, i juz did my servicing ard 2mths back.. i did carb servicing, change EO, spark plugs and coolants... recently, i feel my bike like abit no power... any ideas wat else to check for??

maybe battery...u can feel the diff between a new n old battery...the response is solid..

Lately i found out tat my idling has increased to 1.5k rpm. Whn i start my bike it is always 1k. After riding for awhile,it jumps to 1.5k. Tday whn i was waiting at a traffic lite, the idle increased to 2k then droped back to 1.5k rpm:sian: Does tis mean i ve to clean n tune my carb? Btw, i hate taking out stuff frm any parts of the engine. Not spoiled dont touch....
