Wanted to install the stebel horns, went down fix it...

Give a go ahead to fix the horn, went in to the shop to chat with chaicka who was quite friendly. After quite a while, saw tat the installer(another guy) was still trying to remove my bike's faring. Went over to take a look.

FOUND OUT tat "he" due to his inexperience, fail to unscrew my screw... AND spolit the trend of the ( + ) screw.

Afraid tat "he" will do further damage to my bike... I took over the job, screw back all others screw.

Waited for him to apologise about it, but didn't. Hai~!

End up i juz bought the horn, and this time i install it myself

He represent MotorX by installing the horns...

Friend, him alone DOES NOT represent the whole of MotorX..As wat you wrote under "What makes this shop commendable? (give details..)", it seems that your claim is all PERSONAL with the person who installed your horn. This does not justify your claim.

Very good shop siah. Was recommended to me by a friend. Went there, and they start to wash carb..etc. Even check things for me which I never ask them to check. Never anyhow ask me to change things. Parts which are still working, they tell me directly. Prices are more or less standard though, not cheaper or more expensive than other places. Workmanship only charge me $10. After finish servicing, tuned my bike and now it can really fly. Very happy with the service and attitude of the mechanic. Recommended.

Let me ask u, when u buy a horn from motorX, is he the one installing it for u? And charging a fee for it, AND the total amount (horn + install fee) u pay goes to the cashier?

er...yah, this is Andy's forum after all, so I guess they will be protective of his shop and his reputation.

I love this forum and I have learnt many things from it! Thank u Andy! :cheer:

But instead of jumping in and defending what is plain inexperience (don't even know how to unscrew a screw properly??? then how can trust this blur guy to connect up the electrical system?? even if it is with proper connectors) and very bad customer service (do wrong already never apologise??) , Andy's friends and supporters would do better to tell him or help him to train his mechanics (or is he just a horn installer?) properly in knowledge and customer service so that he will get more customers.

I can see how BANANASKIN feels. If the blur mechanic don't even know how to unscrew a screw, would u trust them with more complicated jobs?? Even if it is cheaper

I think everybody makes mistakes from time to time. If they learn from their mistakes, they will definitely get more customers. :cheer:

I love pussies! er...I mean kittens!

Usually horn will be paid in the shop, installation fee will be paid to the installer personally, unless in cases where customer does not carry enough cash on hand they will pay by NETS and which i will return the installation fee by cash to customer to be paid to installer.

personally ur above comments is already very biased. i'm sorry about wat happened to ur screw but i didnt see u flare up so much that day on the spot at the shop compared to here in the forum. As far as i recall, there were more then one person(installer) who touches the screw.

Went there to check out how come my bike refused to start in the morning. they checked and said it's a battery problem. They changed a battery for me, and started to do some checking. After that they say rectifier spoil. So I ask them to change. I asked how come rectifier spoil must change battery also. They say that battery once empty is useless liaoz. But i heard that it's possible to recharge the battery. Not too sure about that. Cost me 170.

How about Guan Hoe at Paya Lebar??? I'm going to send my bike for major engine repair so mech's expertise is most important... Read many recommend Planet but most of them just send minor repairs.. So still have some doubt.

If u dun mind the pricing there i pretty much recommend that place.....i always go there to do check-up on my bike as i trust Mr Chew there......he'll tell you wats wrong wif your bike and wun change anything unless he gets ur permission......i feel that he does a gd on bikes n has alot of knowledge on them.......but of course there are people who will disagree wif me so and have their own bad experiences there, it also happened to me, his assistant forgot to put one of my fairing screws back n also din tighten one of the screws on my rear fairing but overall i'm very satisfied on the workmanship there, only thing is that its slightly pricey.....

The choice is up to you....juz giving my comments. :D

i dun really think so... u got to be careful abt the price that they quote. usually it's only the machine price that they give. according to some of my friends who bought their bikes there, they will give u a high trade in value. but the machine price is high of course. so in the end, they will earn more from the interest

My battery was really hot and there was even smoke coming from it. After that it died on me. I could no longer start it. Not even the crank from the relay. I passed by the shop when I took bus no. 189. Decided to give it a try as I heard it had another branch in Ubi. One of the bigger shops around I suppose. Took more than 2 hours to change a battery as mechanic had to eat lunch. The battery was way too expensive. When I asked for help to remove a screw which broke inside, the mechanic told me he can't do it. I didn't expect that from such a big shop. Anyway, I just thanked him and went my way after the change of battery.

Maybe I was expecting too much but I was real sad when I left the place.
