At prac 4 and failed 6 times . With quite alot of practice too and inconsistent results . Lowest point was 4 and highest 22. Am I really not cut out for bike? I got a feeling that many people thinks I will get into an accident if I had a bike. Need guidance thanks..

So slow, yet so fast.

Don't be disheartened. I would think every rider with a license be it 2b or 2 will be able to share with you that at one point, they too felt like giving up.

For myself, 2b was the hardest. At some points it felt like it was impossible to get a license. I have friends who started earlier than me and encouraged me along the way, only to give up themselves.

Press on. Find out what's wrong from the instructors. Learn as much as you can, both for passing the test/lessons and for your own safety in future.

At the end of the day..it's worth it ;)

As a parent, biker and fellow human being, I am very worried for you. while balancing , braking and steering are the same with bicycle, motor are different . i am sure you can ride bicycle. there have been many riders who failed many of their lessons eg a ex-colleague who faied so many times at all the stages of her lessons. she spent so much money and at one point DURING THE LESSON , she skidded and broke her ankle. MC for so many weeks.

Then nearly 3 years ago at 47 she passed her test. she is very small and very kamcong but passed.

my advice get the licence . if got money, buy the bike but ride around your car park for a long time. got confidence then go out.

if feel very unsafe GIVE TO ME . hahahhahha. sorry . sell it off

Don't give up! I almost every lesson once while taking my 2B, where most of my friends pass first time. End up spending quite a lot but I believe its those practices that helped me on first try. Worth it.

Then after you pass, practice practice practice, ride defensive, ride safe, for yourself and for your loved ones.

It's definitely not easy (or getting easier). Bike tp compared to car tp (for me) was a lot more stressful, especially the night before. Didn't sleep at all for all my bike TPs.

But everything adds up to an experience that is so much more satisfying when you get your own two wheels! Totally worth it.

Just listen to instructions? If u so jialut, how did u pass lessons 1-3 in the first place?

Just apply what you've learnt in the previous lessons, listen to instructors briefing, ask any questions if in doubt and you should be able to pass lesson 4 (Im assuming circuit assessment?)

One word: Kanchiong. I think you need some tea to calm your nerves before every lesson, cause if you kanchiong, most likely you will cock up.

True..

although it may be hard since you are repeating, try your best to enjoy the lesson and not obsess too much about passing, placing extra stress on yourself

Need to lean in figure 8, pylon slalom and crank course isnt it? But not to the extent of motoGP obviously.

The main thing for figure of 8 is your eye point. Look where the turn is, look ahead.

Pylon slalom just enjoy going between the cones instead of getting too nervous about it. Between the cones, mark out in your head a cross on the mid way point. Before you move off for pylon slalom, try to tilt the bike facing away from the cones so you will have more space to turn towards the cones. Try to cross the cones before the halfway mental mark and do likewise for the rest of the cones.

Crank course is the easiest. Just turn handlebar. But look out for traffic at the end.

Thanks everyone for the comments . I didn't really pay attention during the first few lessons but I can do pylon etc well. It's only the posture , gear and e brake that I have problems with. Tbh, I don't even know if I can stop while on higher gears . I remembered something about engine stalling. As for e-brake, I just learned that the you cannot put pressure on rear brake too much.

Pay attention to what the instructors say. They will impart the techniques verbally but practice is up to you. Wat u mentioned are points deductible.you will pass only if you really want to pass.

To ride on the road, You need skills,Stamina, or even luck.

But to be a good rider, you have to change with your environment, and adjust yourself to its rhythm.

Cultivate the confidence to face the different situations. Don't let yourself to be subdued by the environment :thumb:

On a side note, after getting your 2A or 2, you'd be wondering and reflecting back on your 2B days why didn't you push the bike to the limits.

Or go a little faster, brake alittle harder, lean alittle lower. and stuffs.

all said, it's something like BMT, one of the toughest of the journey, yet the most memorable.

i would like to address your key concern and could be your parent worries; ( I got a feeling that many people thinks I will get into an accident if I had a bike. Need guidance) . your other concern if you would pass are secondary to me.

[ I will get into an accident if I had a bike ]

It actually voice down how's your ability to handle safetly & Are you an alert person ? or are you a blur-sotong (no offense)

or do you think by making alot of practise during your 2B journey or when you passed would make a big difference ? or you can't take the stress in actual traffic with a bike

I would advise you to give up if you really have this deep fear from within ; or you're a blur blur type and constantly practise will not help you to bring down your risk and the fear that you have... I seriously advise you to give up.

Many will advise you to press on to get that 2b license, through their hardwork - they passed ... these might be a different story from yours ...

But if feel you lack of ability to bring down the risk / fear from an accident through constant practice.

As you said you're not cut for bike.

I'm someone's parent, likewise your parent would be worry for you as well.

You know yourself best.... if you have regular thought on fear and accident....to quit is a clear answer for you.... !
