i ate my lunch yesterday at captains food along upper changi road where mak's place n chai chee restaurant is...

asam pedas with 2 (3cm x 3cm) fish, 1 fried egg n sambal goreng

cost me $5.50...

i dunno whether suggested before, but the nasi padang at taman jurong market 3rd floor power. the portions are huge can feed 2 mouths per packedt. the owner also very friendly

 

however, not recommended for grp gathering and stuff.open only at 11am-2pm.on weekdays except mon i think. bestt for ppl working in jurong.

Dun tink Botak Jones is halal.Aniway my best place for halal food is,

1)Sakura international buffet

2)Carousel at Royal holiday Inn(damn missed those medium rare steaks)

3)Jln Kayu,

4)well known-Simpang Bedok.

Some weeks back, I went to eat at the coffeeshop located on the ground floor of Hotel 81 Tristar located at 1 Onan Road. The chicken rice shop there serves a variety of chicken rice. I tried the nasi ayam 2 perasa (chicken rice with 2 flavours - black pepper and sweet thai sauce) which costs $5. I added fried chicken heart and total was $6. The helping is generous and salad with mayo is also served on the plate. Quite delicious and rather filling. Go give it a try...

If they really do that, then they can no longer be called Halal restaurant. A restaurant that is halal certified can not have anything that is not halal. This goes for ingredients, preparations and even utensils.
