does anyone here or anyone whom they know witness an accident yesterday afternoon nearby BBDC? if there is anyone, can you please pm me. i need more details cos my gf is involved in an accident but the impact is too hard that she can't recall anything of that whole day. all i know is that a lorry is involved but i'm not too sure on whose fault is that. thanks in advance!

today whilst riding.

was lanesplitting on ecp and i saw this ahlian's hand outside the car window coz she smoking. since her ciggie was still quite alot, about half stick left, i didn't give much thought. wanted to zheng past the car when SHE GO AND FLICK THE CIGGARETTE BUTT out of the car. wah nbcb rode past the car and shout WTF U TRYING TO DO. she give the "i dun gv a f*ck" face.

 

im a smoker myself. bt i hate ppl who smoke whilst riding or driving, and hate more if that fella flicks the ciggie when it's still burning.

 

then further down, was riding behind an uncle biker who was swaying left right left right. shake head wriggle here wriggle there. sway left right left right. so distracting .......

 

never hope the ciggie and throw inside her car window?

today while riding in aye all of a sudden bike die. luckily was in the last lane so manage to go road shoulder and realised, my signal light, signal light indicator, neutral light and horn all not working. manage to kick start and then no choice have go to bike shop. thought battery flat in the end fuse spoil. luckily didnt happen when i was on the way to exam.

To the sis whose spark135 stalled along the road, just to share with you some knowledge so that you can troubleshoot your bike if the same thing happen again.

 

Why bike died?

- The bike stalled as it was in top gear at the traffic junction, you down gear to neutral but maybe accidently down again the gear jump to 4, so when you tried to move off the bike stalled.

 

Why bike cannot push?

- Gear was engaged, either change to neutral first or clutch in and push

 

Why cannot kick start?

- See answer above

 

How to prevent this from happening in future?

- Observe the gear indicator on the dashboard when stopping/moving off.

wah!! i'm really in a tough luck! on monday, went to change new rear tyres for my nouvo elegance. damage was $80. then, just after that, my gf had an accident with the bike! wah! heart pain! $80 gone and my gf injured.

 

today, she got discharged from the hospital. no brain damage but still got memory loss. my mindset is positive thinking la. let's move on. sadly, my wr 400's rear tyre got punctured by a BIG nail as i was turning into the slip road from Pioneer Road North into Jurong West Ave 4.

 

too much construction there until they cannot clear the roads properly. heart pain again! called the tow truck at 5pm. at 6.30pm, i saw that my bike is gone, must be towed already. good la. so, i made my way to Eunos taking the TRAIN!! lucky me that it was from Pioneer so there were a lot of seats. took me 1 HOUR just to get to Eunos!! nvm.. i excited already to collect back my bike.

 

reached my bikeshop at 7.45pm. my bike is NOWHERE IN SIGHT!! called them up. and they said they are still on the way! wait and wait and wait. only at almost 9pm then the tow truck came!! wahh!! i called at 5pm, they collected the bike before 6.30pm but reached kaki bukit at 9pm?? i felt so god damn pissed!

 

so nvm. on the bright side, at least i can collect my bike today cos im too lazy to collect it tomorrow. in the end, i paid $50 in total though i really feel like not paying that $25 for the towing service.

at least u still can call for tow truck. last yr my R1's tyre got punctured between 2nd link and msia customs, abt 2km after the bridge. practically in the middle of nowhere. ran out of petrol too(reserve light spoilt). was trying to push my bike back to sg when some kind msian rider stopped and gave me some petrol. quickly rode to msia GP esso, pump petrol and over inflate my tyre then chiong back to sg. luckily still made it to bike shop in one piece.

 

i realise i only pushed ard 500m after almost 1hr of pushing. never travel to msia without a tyre repair kit after the incident

Pissed off with the M'sia car just now on the way home!

 

Was negotiating a bend twds BKE/Johor which is also twds the exit Woodlands Ave 3.

 

I was slowing down while turning.. then this msia car was so near me, i saw him coming from my mirror i tap my brake to show the light that i am slowing down.. he got so near me n high beam at me so i move to the side which i am already pretty near the kerb cuz all along i was at the side, he then use the car's 'backside' trying to kiss my bike... gave me a fright man.. so fast for wat!?

 

The road sign said SLOW DOWN! U idiot! N it's not a very wide bend lor! Why u die die must squeeze next to me! Bike cannot travel in the center meh! It's a 1 lane bend u idiot! QI SI WO LE!

 

When cars are slow when negotiating bend i also slow down let them take their time.. i dun squeeze past them cuz i feel it's dangerous u nvr knw when they will swerve..

If i am a car, i bet U also LL have to slow down cuz it's a 1 lane bend u idiot!!!

 

P.S: Just venting out, ignore me if u feel that it's cause i no skill so i scare.. :S

on the way to work at Tuas... there was a MASSIVE jam...

saw the EMAS board stating accident... slow traffic...

 

saw the back of the toyota wish taxi all caved in... then a badly mangled cub type bike on the gound... after a couple of seconds then did i see the body of the rider twisted under the rear bumper of the cab... RIP

 

 

bloody high way patrol could have at least put up a tent and covered him up...

from what i understand for logistical / deployment issues

if you have been scheduled for a specific RTA or any other emergency call

you are not supposed to detour irregardless of the severity of the incident you just passed unless you get orders from HQ?

 

else you'd have 10 Alphas at one serious incident and none at the others sort of thing?

Hi, i wonder where does it happen? Is it the road joining CTE and ECP to AYE, passes by about 7:10 or so, lane spliting very fast (concentrating on the road) didn't see what happen, but side of my eye flash blue light. Wonder is that the one.

see so many cars straddle in their own lane. wahh all in holiday mood happy2 to enjoy the weekend already ah?

 

on my way to work, was already on first lane going at 120 on my meter (so ard 100 actual speed), riding behind this car, 1 car length away. a blue toyota tailgate me and flashed his lights. i was like, wth? tap tap my brakes but he still keep flashing. kay fine. cut into second lane, the toyota sped up and tailgate the car infront. chey ! bloody p-plater. let's see how fast u can go .. ohhh ! too bad , seems like he's only brave enough to zheng in his own lane. whilst i sped away happily ever after.

 

then on my way back, dont know why suddenly like so many trucks and trailers. wanted to lane change, only to be greeted by another truck changing into the lane that i'm going to be at. waaaalaaaaaaaa. heng can siam ...

 

so many "exciting" things on the road today. soon enough i get high blood pressure i think .

This idiot will be too slow to turn out, so the other lane cut it when the lane merges. Since it can not move, the queue will form up. Bloody stupid vehicle, tortise of the road but y the fcuk so many of them in the morning traffic???

 

last night while riding home at a leisure 70km/h, was being high beamed and overtaken by an SBS bus. wtf...

now i noe why there r so darn many traffic jams in the morning. All u nid is a STUPID 40 or 50 km/h max crane carrier or trailer lorry turning. This idiot will be too slow to turn out, so the other lane cut it when the lane merges. Since it can not move, the queue will form up. Bloody stupid vehicle, tortise of the road but y the fcuk so many of them in the morning traffic???

depends on the situation and the severity of each case. importantly, depends on the paramedic in charge.

yes. no detour unless instructed by HQ. but most of the time, we will switch cases. meaning control will already know both alpha's location through GPS and they will switch the cases accordingly to which alpha is nearest to each location.

 

however, for an unreported accident, if it is VERY serious, the paramedic will ask for permission first from HQ. else, he will ground one of his crew(medic) to render immediate assistance for that accident while the rest of the crew and alpha proceed to their original case.

 

so, you know that SCDF ambulance services are very efficient. it's just that there are too many non-emergency cases that causes ambulance to attend to accidents outside of their range.
