Tapped 4times. Thanks for the advice. I did however once signalled to my colleagues to form a barricade and ride slowly in front of a taxi after the taxi almost caused another colleague to almost get hurt by swerving into his lane. It was just nice that on that very moment we were all on our way home together so there were like almost 10 or more bikes. Upon reaching the next traffic light which was red. One of my colleagues told off the taxi driver and he apologized.

As to wat u did, i may ve been guilty of thinking about it but i dun think it is a good thing to do.

1) It is like behaviour of road bully although u can say he did it first. (Do not onto others u dun wish done to u)

2) Dangerous, he may accidently buang u

3) Touch wood accident, rider lugi...

 

But i respect u for doing something about it. Just tat in future, hope u will be able to consider something less risky... =D i wish all fellow riders to ride safe... ^^

Risky venture. Do remember objective is to make the roads safer by alerting blur, unsafe road users. Not to get into a fight or create trouble. =D

Very nice!! But it is obviously those funny cams type of thing. E few young ones in e video r positive examples only during e video. After they get their license, will they text and drive? No one noes.

 

But it is a good sharing. i would suggest to take 1 step farther.

 

1) Authorities Step up on enforcement.

 

2) any offenders caught texting while driving will be revoke without appeal. To retake license will require a few years and ve to take a text while driving test.

 

Actually cause of our road problems got a lot. But mainly i c 2. Human behavior like kiasu, impatient, stress, lack of focus, etc. And enforcement.

 

Where as human behavior is individual and no way to make all humans behave e same, but enforcement can be step up.

Good sharing. due to e expensive air time and fact this will be a non profit advertisement, i can accept tat they shorten it. And also include segments of drunk driving. If every hr play once of e different bad forms of road users will be great.

 

But then parents will complain too bloody.

 

Ps: sad tat on cigarette box they print anti smoking campaign but no anti lousy road user campaign.

 

Ps2: even more sad is there is a need to enforce or encourage good road user behavior.

Just now while DRIVING... I was going to junction 8 for dinner and entered the interchange carpark.

Saw a Mercedes coming out so I signaled and stopped to wait 1 car length infront of the mercs.

Suddenly a black sunny jammed brake and parked right behind me... WtH lah, obviously want to steal lot... So I played with him and the mercs for 3 mins until another car just came out infront of me... So I. Be gentleman and gave the mercs to him... While parking, he gave up the mercs, moved off and gave me a middle finger...

 

Ok... Obviously he's parking so I went to the bridge to J8 and wait for my friend to come.... So that idiot finally finished parking and my friend was also here already... So I asked "wui, what's your problem?"

 

And that idiot rages up and blah blah blah, you guys know the typical road rager... I gt fed up and whipped out my iPhone and started to record... He rush forward and grab my phone... I pulled my iPhone back (he's still grabbing it) and raised my elbow to keep his body elbow distance away. So promptly me an my friend informed him of the technical aspects of the law... He then shut up and took out his own camera phone and started recording... What a laugh and a half... I did t do anything wrong so I let him record lor... After a while he finally gave up and walked away like a loser...

 

For all I knew, he was waiting at the 2nd floor Levi's and calling his friends come down.. Happened to hear while we were walking pass... Loser taunt me again.. Ignored him and went to enjoy my dinner at mos.

 

30 mins later walked back to my car and HE WAS DOWN THERE WAITING!!! Hahaha... And he started recording again, this time I wised up and face him a few "model" poses... Totally pissed him off... Called us gay and warned us not to come back to bishan ( like I care...)

 

We do pity him though, we enjoyed our dinner... He didn't...

@Penguin. for ur case, since u recorded his action of attempting to snatch ur phone, u should consider reporting to the police. Of coz if u took his car number plate.

 

Then again police may just say no one hurt = civil case, not police matter.

 

For stomping, just register and post la. I also going to register le. Becoz car got camera le can start posting. Another channel to promote safe road usage ma. lets all do our little part to make riding safer.

 

Another pt i like to make is, if u going to park at e place, better dun play play. Scarly he go disturb ur car, u LL. For me when driving, i very very patient. Already stuck behind e wheel liao, so just keep my cool. Somemore got air con.

 

Riding sometimes e engine heat transfer to body then transfer to brain. Bo pian. Car got air con.

 

But really nothing much we can do to these road bullies. If he dun attack u, call police also no use. If he atk u and u defend urself, and u win him in e fight, become debatable case. Btw ur fren as a witness wont count for much also.

You are missing the point. It's about deterrence and not owning guns to kill.

Becoz in the eyes of a BIGGER picture, the country is still going on and on. In the eyes of a SMALLER picture, some citizens live in fear, some dun. Some citizens live like a bully due to having arms, some dun. Like wat i ve mentioned, it's never about the majority tat follows rules. It's always about the minority tat do not.

 

That's not the issue, the issue is the traffic light is literally a good 10-20 meters from where she was crossing from. If you jaywalk like in Little India, Geylang that sort, I understand.

 

Just to clarify. A good 10-20m away is the traffic light and she jaywalk. So u mean the traffic light is far or near? I'm just sharing tat traffic light far or near i also jaywalk before. But becoz i'm also a rider, a driver and a walker. I take extra care when jaywalking, i will stick my head out a bit like spy movies and look around the vehicle to see no bikes first before moving off.

 

In fact like i said, this "check clear" habit has already been incorporated into my life. Pavement, riding, driving, shopping mall even jogging. I also "check clear" before changing lane or stopping. =X but of coz it is impt to understand tat humans r not the same.

 

Wat u or i can do, we can't expect others to do. We can only encourage. And encouragement got stick method, got carrot method. I prefer carrot becoz if need stick, my stick not pain enough and also i will get into trouble for using stick method. ^^
