just witness my fren's bike kena bang. we were chatting at the void deck so my fren park her bike (BMW GS 1200) at the handicap lot as there were no empty bike lots nearby (partly her fault for parking there). car comes driving in, saw that there were no empty car lots so decide to reverse and park outside. while reversing, the car hit my fren's bike and a loud bang could be heard.

both of us quickly ran towards the bike, do a quick check on the front of the bike (found scratches on the mudguard and pieces of the car's brake light plastic casing on the floor) and chase the car that was leaving the scene. at the same time, a group of malay riders sitting at the void deck at the next blk came running out when they heard the loud bang and also told us that the car had bang my fren's bike.

luckily the driver is a resident of the same blk as me and she (driver) parked her car at the lot just outside. we question her whether she knew that she bang the bike and her reply was "i didnt see the bike at all so i dunno that i banged it".

Whack her la... Blind or what? BMW 1200 so f**king big she can't see? Then she have eyes for what? Dig them out la... Smash her rear view mirror and two side mirrors too... No point leaving them there when the mirrors aren't working... Always same excuse drivers Give... CAN'T SEE... Even 10:30 am in the morning also can't see then hit me from behind... Xue ling... Being a rider, we must learn to be more aggressive... So we won't be taken advantage of... Anyway, can report to police that she hit and run... The bang so loud, but she can't hear? Her car doors and windows all soundproofed? Lol...

exactly. the accident happened at 12:05 AM and the surrounding was very quiet since majority will be asleep but she claim that she cant hear the loud bang when she bang my fren's bike. in my mind i was thinking "BMW GS 1200 (with 1 top box and 2 side box) so big also cannot see, the bang so loud also cannot hear, den i seriously dunno wat u can see and hear". the female driver then ask her daughter to call her father/husband to come down to settle. the female driver damn arrogant, keep giving the "stuck up" face and tell the husband "how i know got bike park there ah? there also cannot park one wat"

in the end settle via insurance claim. according to insurance "law/logic", 100% claim for stationary vehicles even though it is parked illegally. since the husband of the driver keep insisting that he wanna let the authorities summon my fren for illegal parking, it will be a separate issue and will not affect the outcome of the insurance claim

That has to be the dumbest excuse ever. Swop out the GS for a little kid in the same spot (touch wood) and well.....

Is her reason then going to be, "How I know got kid there one ah? He not supposed to be standing there wat"?

Same excuse all drivers use whenever they hit you on while moving on the road or not. Best is the excuse 'the bike appeared out of nowhere'. All riders must be magicians then as we can appear out of nowhere. All these excuses is an insult to intelligence.

Today surprise. Saw a nice gtr driver. Y i say nice?

Was at e bke to kje bend. Not a lot of traffic so was attempting to speed up a bit, but encountered this turqoise blue gtr. Being e kia si me, i slowed down just in case e gtr decide to run. True enough e gtr did and after which i carried on as per normal.

Maybe e gtr thought i was playing and it picked up spd and did e usual type of cut here cut there, spd up spd down type of movements. it normal u may think BUT i noticed tat e gtr always signalled and in tight situations will pause before cutting. I believe e driver signal and pause a moment for e other vehicle to notice before cutting in.

Thus i feel this driver even with e "racing" maneuvers is still safer than some of e other drivers on e road. Note tat I'm not agreeable with "racing" on public roads, but rather i hope tat more drivers can be like this gtr driver, signal their intention, check blindspot and other safe practices.

Frankly i was surprised tat e gtr driver signalled most of e times as more often than not, other fancy cars i see dun signal at all.

2nd thing i saw during this journey was a lorry that carried some cardboard boxes and Styrofoam boxes. 1 of e Styrofoam cover actually got carried away by e wind, om e expresway. I find this dangerous and irresponsible of e driver. Will be checling my video, if clear number plate = TP

Isit matt baby blue color? Saw it a couple of times in bukit batok. Ugly IMO. Anw, good to hear that at least got drivers who drive recklessly-with-some-responsibility. Haha.

Styrofoam cover i kena b4. Fly from lorry, hit one uncle on kupchai, break then the smaller piece hit me. Heng i got windshield. And the uncle in shock sia. Poor thing. Luckily he nv panic n buang the bike.

A ride a day, keeps the doctor away!

Hmm not sure how to define e color. But its like light blue mix with greenish. And ya i dun really loke e color either. But like e responsibility of e driver.

For e Styrofoam i find it a hazard. But some pple may think it is just like tissue paper flowing in e aor. But such a big piece flying toward u, any vehicle may reflex siam then dunno wat will happen. Not to mention if kanna rider may cause off balane and buang. Then e lorry may not even realise and rider will LL. So if clear number i will report. Need to give warning or summon.

I understand e law also covers big vehicle tat carries goods must secure. In this case, this type of goods regardless of useful or rubbish should also be secured properly

Edit: Sadly, my video didn't capture clearly the number plate of the lorry as I didn't think of it at that moment. In future will take note and slowly down a bit to look longer.

Thought private settle may get more? Although this type of "tough" pple maybe let insurance handle safer. Dun later they play punk...

HAHAHHAHHHA. my fren park her bike (BMW GS 1200) at the handicap lot. sorry got to laugh. you mean car driver was also going to park at that lot. no wonder. maybe she should on her defence say, she is blind (handicap) so bang the beemer.

yes. cos my estate got some lazy idiots love to park at the handicap lot when there are empty lots elsewhere cos its nearer to the stairs to walk up to the block. so some of them got pao toh-ed by me to hdb. sometimes would kaypoh go see how much is the summon. everytime $50 nia. but now, no one dares to park there anymore

probably can get more provided both parties agreed on the sum of money. when the husband heard that repairs for my fren's BMW gonna cost at least $1k or more, he quickly switched to settle via insurance claim

the car was not planning to park at the handicap lot. she drove into the car park only to realise that there weren't any car lots available and she decided to reverse into the so called "empty" handicap lot so as to park her car in the available lots outside

ok, thanks for the information. cuz the sign board states $400 fine, probably that's why the husband insisted that he will bring up to the relevant authorities with regards to the illegal parking.

That guy stupid or what? Insurance only cover claims above $2.5k-$5k... So that dumb driver still has to fork out the first $2.5k-$5k cash and the excess will then be covered by the insurance company... That's what my driving instructor told me when I was learning to drive...

400 is for chronic offenders bah

i just think the husband is trying to chicken u

might as well ask him to call TP down and take photos of the accident scene

his wife's action can be taken as careless driving as well

Today while riding, I was behind this Chio Malay girl riding her orange scrambler on my way to camp.

Why I know she is Chio is because she lives in the next block from me and I have seen her without her helmet on. So along the way, from my block car park until Lentor, I was trailing behind her, watching her long wavy brown hair fluttering in the wind from under her helmet, and admiring her slim shapely waist from behind. :lovestruck:

Too bad because I was going to reservist, so I couldn't bring along any camera to video this.

Haizzzzz.... just another day of riding.

On the way home, I saw TP ambush just before Orchid country club.

2 Orange stripe Police car and 4 officers, standing at the heavy vehicle parking there, 1 with a radar gun, 1 with a clip board and 2 with orange plastic light stick baton waving down cars. Apparently quite a number of cars got caught speeding.

Luckily they were not on my side of the road, so I "Siam-ed"
