either way is still a bad choice though.

If you had a loud exhaust, use it to effect or give one long irritating horn.
Will keep that in mind in the future. :D

Also horned at a taxi picking up or alighting a passenger. Why? Because the taxi stopped in between the left and right lane of a 2lane carriageway. Passed by slowly and gave the what the fish are you doing gesture.

When I say crash, I meant on track

Read 'A twist of the wrist 2' for track learning...one of the things they say is crashing doesn't make you better

When I say crash, I meant on track, if its on the road, either your luck or your skill but how else do you improve your skill but by going to the limit. If you're just an everyday rider, well your skill is that much.

I stand to what I said, even the best fall.

Must've been my luck...

You reading it is one thing, you going out and do it is another, one mistake and you crash, sure the crash itself doesn't make you better, you actually learning from how you crash does.

Well, sometimes a person might not recover from a crash or maybe die. How will that improve. I feel that pushing the limit is a subjective phrase.

If you Noe you R at the limit, how can u overcome it? I think the phrase is better understood as, learn where or weak points are and strive to improve those area. Tip improving can simply train and practice rather than pushing yourself and crash so that that you learn "oh, I shouldn't have done tat" or "there's my limit"

If you think that only crash then can learn then I choose to forever stay a newbie or lousy rider in your eyes.

It's not training "riding skills" but more of your mind and instinct.

That's what the twist of the throttle articles keep revising on as well.

I believed there are times when you approach a bend too fast, and the next thing you do (or react) is to jam brake and bank at the same time. Braking will "straighten" your bike and yet subconsicously we bank in. Which eventually lead to a low or high side.

Been there done that. Alot of times, not about what the bike can do. About what you think you can do at that point in time.

Well, why the talk about tracks and crashing suddenly? Just enjoy the ride you want to man !

Adventure.

I don't think you get it, do you know where's the limit? Do you know the limit of your bike? Your tyres, your suspension, your power delivery etc. I didn't say you have to crash to learn, you don't know your limits, that's why you push it and sometimes you crash, if you're too scared to try, to each his own.

If I come out alive, I try to figure out how and why, if I didn't, hey, game over, better on track then on the road. MotoGP riders crash, WSBK riders crash, TT riders crash, normal riders crash. Better to learn on the track then to screw up on the road, at least if you know how to handle your bike, it reduces the chances of **** happening on the road.

At one point of time, you would have fallen before, good if you haven't.

Hey if you died, that's your luck, what different is it from riding day to day, some mofo driver decides to side sweep you, you died, what to do.

As long as you enjoy, while it lasts.

True that... Lucky that I never die, unlucky that I got hit... Different perspectives from different people's eyes...

I've out cornered class 2 and 2A on 2B, likewise when I'm on 2A. Out accelerate most cars when they think they are fast, as well as take corners at speed they don't dare.

Do I consider myself a good rider? Obviously I still have alot to learn, if you don't crash, you don't learn, its the rider, not the class.

You have class 2, you get overtaken by a seasoned 2B rider who goes PG ever so often , where you want to put your face?

They ride for glamor but when it comes down to the crunch, just ask them go track, see what they say, don't talk so much, get down to it.

I always get overtaken by a smaller bike, but my face is still here. Hahaha

Today while riding, was in a rush from west to east during peak hour. I'm riding middle class bike - drz. Got class 2 license but dont see a point to get a class 2 bike yet. Had to give some light honk to the slower bikes- no class 2, Only 2B and 2A, in front as I overtake them with peak hour traffic, having given due consideration for spaces for the both of us. Everytime I pass I wave a thank you sign'. Then came behind one r15. Rider abit kayu, stuck behind him quite awhile he still dont want to give way, and didn't check mirror also. I also noticed that his helmet strap wasn't done up. Overtook him when I could and pointed the chin strap out to him then only he realized he could've got himself seriously injured had he taken a fall...

To all riders. While overtaking during lane splitting, always be courteous and ensure safety for both riders. And if there are faster bikes, try not to take it that people are trying to race with you, just that they feel more comfortable in fast riding during LS. Please give way at the earliest opportunity... Some dont like to get stuck behind slower bikes, others don't like people tailgating them..

You're so observant! Lol!

Last week while I was driving, I saw a Wave cut in front of a Super 4 so abruptly that the Super 4 had to jam brake to let him pass. Probably the Super 4 blocked him for a long time which made him "angry" :cheeky:

The wave rider still got no right to do that. Almost cause an accident. So does this mean that the super 4 rider got the right to kick the wave rider for nearly causing an accident? No what... Injury to motorists is more severe than damaging a motorist vehicle... That's why I stick to closing the cars side mirrors... But in this case it's a bike, I encountered same thing before.

Malaysian kup racer, weaving in and out of traffic at peak hour and going way past the speed limit, cut me and a few other Singaporean riders abruptly. I gave chase without endangering other motorists lives, overtook him on his right side with about 10cm from his handlebar to mine? Not too sure but it was close enough for me to slap his helmet on the back which I did consider very seriously at that time. End up I just turned and stared at him when I was beside him before going in front of him to clear my carbon. Lol. He did slow down for awhile until I signaled left to exit the expressway. Then he overtook me when I entered the filter... -.- lol seriously

I'd pressure him to the kerb, angry also want to overtake, do it with space, how annoyed also I wont overtake closely, you overtake like that to me is tantamount to finding fault. If he wants a chase, I'll give him a chase but to each his own la.

Yesterday, while riding, I was late for something so I literally opened up through PIE from Tampines, sorry if I made any drivers or riders pissed off because I was weaving in and out. Then I had a bike that tailgated me, it was an open road, I thought he would just overtake me or I could outrun him, I thought it was a 2B bike because I couldn't make out from the headlight but instead he chose to tailgate, there's always someone faster hahahah. After realising he wouldn't let me off and I couldn't get away, I gave way, turns out it was a Busa gen 1, I gave chase to see if I knew the rider...then I had to exit.

I know what u mean... That was exactly what I was trying to do... Finding fault with him... It's because of malaysian riders like him, that Singapore drivers got a bad impression of Singapore riders.

Rode my bicycle today. Was very much disgusted when I dismounted and waited to cross at the zebra crossing. About 6 vehicles (cars and lorries) just zoomed by before one actually stopped to let me cross. Gave a wave of thanks once I am safely on the other side.

Speaking of taxi drivers, its 6AM, its town area, there's so many god damned taxis and not a single one had a green header, if there was one, it was either an expensive 'premier' cab or they choose whom to pick up. I don't despise taxi drivers, apart from how they drive, also on how they operate, in the end had to call one up. So many when you don't need them, none available when you do, damn taxi drivers.

Today close to being a victim myself. Was LS at fairly low speed at bishan road just in front of j8. There was this car on my right suddenly left signal on and change lane. Only thing I could do WAs jam brake. the car also realise his error and went his lane.

after observing a moment, I overtook and with eyes front pointed at the driver while I was in front of him to let him Noe. (at this point I wish to apologise top the rider behind, in my haste, I didn't c u and might have surprised u when I did that.)

Subsequently, saw the same car again at another traffic light. Seeing the light just turned red, I back paddle to the car, got him to wind down window. Told him wat he did wrong which he admitted.

So, thankfully nothing happen and hopefully +1 better driver.
