guys...any idea when is the next intake of trainees for Senior Prison Officer course since the application is now open...?

There is no fixed intake. All depends on the number of trainees they manage to sign. If suddenly got one whole bunch of trainees, then start early lah. My time, I had to wait 5 months for training (while on full pay, of course )

There is no fixed intake. All depends on the number of trainees they manage to sign. If suddenly got one whole bunch of trainees, then start early lah. My time, I had to wait 5 months for training (while on full pay, of course )

every goverment sector .. u have to wait 6 mths to re-apply...

be it cnb, police, scdf, prisons.. etc

 

10 day home team camp... for those senior officers..

its the basic home team course

 

for ranks below senior officers, its 8 days.

 

for scdf... the ers nsf, they have to attend this course.

not sure about police nsf though...

thanks for the response. according to them...applicants will be called for interview on the same day if they pass the psychometric test.

 

roughly how long after the interview will we be notified if selected for SPO?

 

any rough idea when the intake for SPO trainees will be this year and normally how long will it be between the date we are selected and the date training begins?

trg commencement date depends on the number of trainees. Assuming there's enough trainees when you join, the wait could be 2wks or less, or if not possibly longer up to 3mths maybe more. The wait till will be paid of course and it'll be spent as an attachment staff at the various inst. There you get a feel of prisons and if you like it you can stay, if not you can leave. Bond only comes to play once you start trg.

 

Trg is about 6mths ... 3mths inhse and 3mths OJT.

you can try giving recruitment a try ... call them and ask
