hi guys need tips on washing bike.

 

i got

 

1) turtle wax super hard shell

2) car shampoo

3) wd-40

4) sponge

5) sponge-cloth

6) toothbrush

 

what else do i need?

 

autosol to polish metal maybe?

maybe get a tar remover to clean the rims...

i got one sample before when buying car shampoo... clean liao quite nice... but after a week... -_-

 

Think maybe use petrol/diesel + used brush also can...

then can clean the engine block till shiny shiny too... :D

u need a pail and water.. :D

never mention how big is the pail.... :D

 

Diesel is good for cleanning rims and engine block outer area. Dont forget chain lub. :)

...no lar bro...petrol dry up fast and doesnt give the shinning looks like diesel does. :p

 

Wan petrol cheap go JB lor.... :D

my bike just now when i went to warm up preparing to move off...while warming up, i hear ticking sound coming from the engine. when i rev i cant hear the sound when idling the ticking sound came back...any idea y is this like tat?

i would jux ride ard first lo...cos my engine got knocking history...so donno if its the knocking jux got worse.

hi pks,

mine also like that leh... oh **** is it the timing chain?

hallo to all.

Had a problem with my bike. Hope you all can give me some advise.:cheeky:

 

Just changed my bike engine oil and spark plug.

After changing, my bike become "harder" to start. On the electric starter, after 1-2 seconds, it die off. No matter how i try also the same result. Its only when i put it to a very high idle (the knot on right side) or keep on throttle then can start bike.

 

This only occur when the bike is left alone for a few hours. Other then that, ride for a while then off the engine. after a few mins still can start.

 

Went back to the bike shop. The boss can`t see the problem as the bike is still warm. He fine tune it a bit only. But the problem still remains.

 

Does anyone know?:giddy:

idling too low is one common issue with regard to your problem.. hmm, carb flooded? maybe some kids go turn your throttle when u sleeping?

Previous, my idle was not having any problem.

The problem is werid as it only happen when the bike is left untouch for a few hours.

 

But once i go for a ride, the problem is gone. As in starting the bike while its warm/hot.

newbie here. just started riding 1 month ago. need a lot of help with the technical side of my bike.

Can anyone enlighten me on the followings:

 

1) How 2T oil to topup for my bike?

2) Is it normal that I topup about 6L of petrol every time(after switching to reserve)?

3) How much (is it necessary) engine oil to topup?

4) Is the engine oil same as those used for cars?

 

My story: Before I bought the bike, I send it to seller's mechanic for servicing. 2 wks after that, I was able to topup about 1L of 2T oil. (Wonder if mechanic cheated about servicing). I am worried and also topup 1L of engine oil.

I new rider also ard 10 mths with my TA150

 

answers to question

1) 2T oil can be topped up at the left hand side of the funnel below the tank. You cant miss it. There is a black cap. Remove cap pour 2T oil.

 

2) TA150 full tank is ard 11 litres. 10 litres main tank, 2 litres reserve. But that one agak2 only. Cant be bothered to read the manual. Usually the way II ride is abt 200km for 10litres.

 

3) Engine oil top up is usually around 1litre I think.

 

4) I also noob on that question. Any old timers want to answer that question.

my phantom no clock...manually calculate the mileage..so everything agak2...but once i see reach ard 200km..fast2 go top up fuel..

 

kena 1 time forgot to turn back the fuel gauge to normal...oil finish den stuck at ang mo kio like idiot.

It aint me officer...The bike is POSSESSED!!:lol:
