can ask something.. normally how long u all change spark plug?

i saw in some topics is about 2 time's changing e.o. den change

is it?

When to change spark plug up to u lah.. 2 EO change or bout 5000km oso can.. I chose 2 x EO change coz bout 4000+km liao.. Might as well change it while changing EO...

actually spark plug no need change so often one.. in my opinion i mean.. my frens and i usually change ard 9k to 10k km.. although its cheap but also no need change so often.. hee.. spark plug can last quite a distance.. anyone knows where got sell orginal suspension? how much to change it including installation? anyone change before?

mine is a new bike, went for second inspection liao , but only changed spark plug 3 times :D :shades:

Anyone knows how many gear plates are there and how much does a set cost?

signal light bulb replacement is nt tat ex.

i cant rem hw much i got e spare bulbs for.. but its ard 50cents to $1 range.

bought from lab.

yo quan, still remember u change the t-10 from white to red for your speedo?

 

you can use the spare white t-10 for the signal of yours that is not lighted up... cos if i dun remember wrongly reading the manual, is states that ta 200 signal light is using t-10 too...

 

maybe you can try to open up and see.. hope this can save your time and $$.. :smile:

keenguy,i guess gear plates would be 6.one for each speed. not sure bout the cost though. but def will be above 200 i guess.

Thanks swirlacer! Wah biangz... really that ex ah... was quoted about $30+ per gear... But dun think mind gonna change cos mechanic didn't mention.

 

Will be collecting my ride tonight, left it at workshop for repair on wed night. Changed those bearings, piston rings gaskets etc... think plus labour, will cost me ard $300+... :giddy:

Hi guys,

 

From the previous postings, I understand that Ta200 got 6 gears.

 

I have no prob with the riding of my bike but I find that I can't kick up to gear 5 and of coz gear 6 while riding. So I confirmed again while the bike is stationary, (i.e I only on the key but i din on the engine) and find that at gear 4 is the max I could go.

 

What is the prob?:help:

 

I saw the previous posts that mention each gear cost $30+. So if really need to change does it mean for my case, I only need to change 2 gears => $70+ or have to change all 6? How long would such a service take? Have to leave at bikeshop or possible to be done in a day?

 

Where is a good place for me to go and service this? Btw, I live in the west side. Been to Asphoon in Toh Guan and change my EO and lube chain just last wk, would it be gd to approach them again or?

 

So sorry for such a long post and so many questions. Thank you for reading and any advices would be greatly appreciated. :cheeky:

what could be the prob when ur clutch cable snaps quite often? like less than half a year snap twice liao..

sorry to sidetrack a bit. How about signal light sometimes will blink sometimes will turn on continuously. having this problem lately not sure is the relay problem or the battery problem? :confused:

Humm... it sound like you are a heavy clutch user... it's either you use to do sudden movement with you clutch (throw clutch) or you got cheated by your bike shop to get a cheap-po clutch... :sweat:

once week ago when my bike batt out of sudden short and low batt, i push start to get it charged... and i charged up and back to normal...

 

but just now when i try to E-start the whole bike went "tick-tick" and the batt drain again...

 

now even worst.. i ride hm and stop half way, off and on again.. it just simply didn;t charge the batt while on the way hm... so is it my batt spoiled?

I would like to ask wat are the likely causes of problem when u can't kick down the gears when u clutch in. For example u are in 6 gear and stopping for a red light. When kicking down gear 6 to gear 5 it stuck, gear 5 to gear 4 also and continue to stuck till gear 1. All of the above I try release to half clutch and clutch in again to down gear also cannot.

I have to kick up the gear softly (like to make it back to the normal point) then I can down another gear. I have no problem kicking up the gear when I am moving

one question u started kickin when u have STOPPED at the light or when u are still moving and STOPPING near the light? when u stopped already u cannot down more than 2 gears i think.. u gotta change while ur still movin so the gears have enuff time to engage properly. try when ur engine is off and ur stationary and kick up to 2 now kick to 3 and try kick to 4.. i think the furthest u can go is 3. after tt its stuck unless u push ur bike forward/backward and continue kicking at the same time.

 

its the same as u mountain bike. when u dun move, u cant change gears rite.. u have to pedal then can change gears.. same thing lor.

 

BUT... if ur STOPPING and u cant down gears, maybe its cos the EO ur using is not ur type or ur gears are worn out.. let's see wad ur reply is to my question first then maybe we can all help. cos STOPPED is different from STOPPING.

Try to have a regular change of your engine oil, and play around with your clutch if problems still persist. :)

Thanks for the reply wat I mean when coming to a complete stop where u will need to down to gear 1. Change my engine oil 2 months ago for which I only ride for 100km cause I skidded and stop riding close to 2 months.

Previously I dun have such problem. Now the problem is I only can down one gear at a time and after downing one gear the gear lever will be like stuck

wanna check... the insulator at the batt terminal (positive and negative) is it that both terminal have or only the positive? cos i open up the seat today to check my batt found oout that there no insulator for my negative terminal...

 

but previously when i open up my seat i remember seeing the insulator for both terminal..
