Cbr is such a sweet bike, she can be ridden in whatever way you like.

From your description above, you are very skillful in sweeping her into corner the Rossi way.

One of the best corner is the exit of BKE to PIE heading jurong. With your riding talent, you sure to enjoy on the 4th and pullout wit 5th.

As for myself. I enjoy going into the same above corner wit 6th and gently twist it out on the same 6th.

I enjoy her “auto like” feature from Cbr's wide power band. Not many bikes in spore is capable of doing that corner at 6th without engine knock. I like her sweet and easy sweep out of the above corner.

No busy gear change in another way you can choose to ride your Cbr out of a beautiful sweeping corner.

Try it.. You will Love it...

ow interesting.. maybe it's Pedrosa's way of cornering since Rossi rides Yamaha.. ehhehee..

ur post makes me want to take the-above-mentioned-route and test my preference.. aiahahaha..

Please take note:

That beauty sweeping corner is a public road. Do it at the posted 50kmh speed limit on Dry and warm and bright day light condition.

Please don't rush into that corner and get trap from common road debris like spilled oil patches, contraction material, wet garbage spill, etc etc.

Go into that corner at your comfortable speed, clear whatever road obstacle around if any, twist your way out in whatever style you wish. Enjoy and exit that sweeping left, down hill, beautiful corner as a happier person. This is one of the best way to truly enjoy your ride.

I had 2 accidents at U-turns because i went for full lean and skid over construction material. 1st - big chunks of Soil(for plants) , 2nd - Sand/Gravel.

LTA should go down on Tipper truckers.

The day i quit riding,

Is when those whom I love,

Cry every time I get on my motorcycle.

No please, I am quite a noob, I have a lot, a lot, a lot to learn. I just try my best.

But for discussion's sake, KJE exit into BKE towards PIE is one challenging corner. Due to the decreasing radius it is one scary turn.:pray:

There are also your usual 99 bends, Old Thompson Road, and occasionally I enjoy Woodlands Street 13. Oh and not to forget Mount Faber!

Hi guys, i'm interest in change to a cbr150r but i have some questions

Whats the FC like?

Whats the thickest tires that can be mounted on?

How's the maintenance?

Any aftermarket parts? e.g better suspension, better brakes, nicer exhaust?

I'm riding a wave now. 50-65km/l and only F 80/90 and 90/80

Currently annoyed at having 4 gears only.

I looking for a safer/more stable bike.

If your only concern is a more stable bike, why not an Mp3? Three wheels better than 2. :cheeky:

On stock setting, the FC should be around 38-40.

The thickest on stock setting is 110. But you can swap out the swing-arm to fit in bigger tires. Which will mess up your FC. Bigger tires = heavier tires. You can compensate that with lighter rims. But many of us feel that the stock setting is good enough.

On stock setting, the maintenance is more iffy than your wave. So do be mentally prepared for more maintenance work.

Dear all, would like to hear yr opinion abt the current problem im facing with my cbr150 signal lights.

i recently re-routed my front signal wirings to a new pair of NSR SP signal lights, installed at the side fairings similar to that of the CBR150 replica our Filipino friends are riding. I converted my original front signal lights to function like pole lights instead.

After the re-wiring, the signals start to not-blink & remain lit up when switched on. This happened after im on the new 12v10w bulbs that came with the aftermarket signal lights. tinking that it may be due to wattage rating difference, i tried out the signals w/ my other spare T10 bulbs (also 12V but different wattage ratings). i tried out 3 types: W5W, 3W & 10W. All couldnt get the signal circuit to function normally.

My only solution is to re-use back the gd old pair of bulbs that were in the original front signal casings. As the orange transparent coating on these bulbs have somewhat fallen off overtime, i have no idea what rating they are. Vaguely remember they could be 10W. But the tricky part is that none of the newer 10W bulbs i have could get the signal circuit to function normally.

Im worried that once the existing bulbs blow, i cant get any suitable working replacement already. :help:

any comments/inputs pls?

:)

You require a good digital multimeter to solve your bulbs' mystery.

Step 1... Measure the ohm reading for every bulbs that you have tested wit your current blinker unit, as described above.

The working yellow bulb's ohm reading should be the lowest. If not, your mystery will remain a mystery. If it is the lowest, proceed to the next step.

Step 2... Go to a bulb shop to buy a new bulbs wit the same or slightly lower ohm reading from your yellow working bulb.

Any other ohm read higher then your current working yellow bulb will not work on your current blinker.

Step 3... To be sure you r buying the right bulb, bring along your multimeter and test it on the spot.

Step 4... Hope you solve your mystery by this weekend.

Step 5... Invite your DIY friend to look into your problem on site.

Step 6... Hope you solve your problem by step 4.

Step 7... Don't forget to buy drinks for your invited DIY friend.

Step 8... Wash your hand the swine flu way after your DIY liao.

i can only use the existing pair of bulbs now.

any other bulbs i used will result in the signal lighted up but no blinking.

:giddy:

even bulbs of the correct wattage also cannot.

thanks for the recommendation. looks like i need to get my hands on a multimeter prior to measuring the resistance of the bulbs. how unfortunate that bulbs are rated in power than resistance~

:giddy:

im wondering if getting a digital blinker relay may help.

uncle lim~ any inputs on this??
