it depends on individual taste and style for bikes, some might say kr gd , some say SP, some say TZM.

depends on what u can afford and maintain.

Yamaha RXZ, Kawasaki ZX KR150, Yamaha Spark135, Honda CB400 REVO NC42, Suzuki DRZ400SMK8, Aprilia RS125, Suzuki GSXR600K9, Honda RS150R

I think the SP and Kips is more common for sale in bike shops. Just buy 2nd hand ywill do, cos you will upgrade in 1-2 years time.

Problematic? All 3 bikes can be problem free or problematic. It's just a matter of luck whether u bought a good one, or a crashed and thrashed one.

Maybe you can try your luck at the Classified Section of this forum.

Regular servicing and maintence like tyres, chains, 2T are the about same for these 3 bikes.

After all, they are all 2 stroke learner bikes. :)

It all boils down to which one u like and feel for. Funny, many Malay riders like Kips and many chinese riders like SP and TZM. :)

I used to ride a pre-thrashed and pre-crashed NSR. Everyoe is a greenhorn once. :)

Just remember to get a pair of gloves, a good helmet and a riding jacket.

Best of luck!

thnx for all ur replies ppl appriciate it lotx.. so it all depends on wat condition my bike is in.. Constructicon thnx lots k.. will rmb safety first i aM Just afraid tat the type of bike i choose will be problematic so when i upgrade also cannot have high resaLE VALUE even if i take care of the bike cuz i am hoping for a class 2 bike.. but do u noe the price range of the bike and maintainence and the insurance for a new rider.... i need a bike with cheap maintainence..

wat u mean sp can get no where? wat u said is very offending l0r, stock sp may not be tat fast compared to kips, tzm.... but a fully mod sp can be fast in the 2b world too l0r.... mind ur words or u might start a war

Looking at the ride tells everything about the rider

Ok,

1) Insurance: give NTUC a call.

Tell them you want a quote for 3rd or 2nd party insurance.

I remembered I paid 700+ for 2nd party, but that's like 5 years back when I was 23. :| Just give them a call.

Also remember, you DO NOT have to buy insurance through the bike shop. Because it will be very exp to buy thru them.

2) Price:

SP, if you see the classified section, you can get 2K odd or less. If you got $$$, pay off 1 shot. Then no need to pay extra for those instalment interest. Just a waste of $$$.

3) Maintenance:

Just a bottle of

You can see that generally its quite cheap to maintain this bike, so long as it not a crap thrashed and crashed one.

3) Buying the bike:

When you buy the bike, please check the tyres and chains are in good condition. Still can last at least 6 months. Tyres 1 set will cost around $200. Chain aroudn $120?

Pai seh, cos it's been a few years since my NSR, so details and prices forgot liao. But just a rough guide.

Set aside a few hundred for 'unexpected' expenses, dun dump all your money on the bike.

4) Power

SP, Kips, TZM....etc. They are all learner 2B bikes. You will get more power when you upgrade to 2A,2.

No offence from on ex-SP lover. :)

But the fun with these bikes is that they are very light and agile.

Don't need to modify the bike or waste $$$, just get 1, ride and enjoy it.

Then upgrade to Class 2A, 2.

I ride a Super 4 , and looking for a bigger bike now. But I still love my Sp, cos it's my 1st bike.

Hope to see you on the road soon. :)

Just do your sums and bring a friend along to view the bikes.

usually.. unless you really impatient bugger.. front tyre touch expressway only you full throttle.. then your FC will be less lah.. :D

Pashley,

Again I have to share with you that :

Tzm - Built in the 80s to rule the class 2b sportsbike for the next 20years.

SP - Known for its powerful & bulletproof engine and long ride endurance. A thorn in the

TZM dominance of the road.

KRR - One of the first true sportsbike to achive the max of its speedo reading without modifications and equipped with KIPS( Kawasaki Integrated Power System) the first of its kind in the 2b class sportsbike. A killer to the legendary TZM.
