how did you all do your running in har? i read mr crumbs post in 600rr.net and the angmohs recommend below 7krpm for the first 1000km but the manual states that the running period is only 500km. i'm thinking that i should stay below 6000rpm for 500km, do a filter and change to semi synth. wait until 1000 then do another filter change with fully synth, what say you guys? :D

hey thks maybe i should try this method too.. anyway i found the tacking sound at the right side of the engine. you know the pivot point(on top of clutch housing) after the clutch cable? the one that turns the clutch engage/disengage stem (or whatever the rod stuck in the clutch housing is called) when we pull in/ release the clutch lever. the pivot point is vibrating because it's moveable parts were not meant to be tight. i pressed down/ pinched the pivot point and the tacking sound no more liao.

Well...the name says it all......

Crazy Boy Riding

Hahahaha.... Nice 1 there.. :cheeky:

Sorry bro...I am now committed to my new job...so had been tired and busy lately...really starting to get the hang of it but if I want to go further with my bike I have to work hard...especially going on track...

Finally get new job liao ah? No more helpin ur dad??? :)

Guys, quick question

how hot do yor bikes get. I dont mean engine temp - this always stay below 104-105 level, however my bike itself startead heating up quite badly. I mean i just went for a15 mins ride - i did watch the engine temp - was like usual- 80 ish while riding and 104ish while on red lights.. however the bike itself is toasting ... the frame itself is very very hot. actually it get so hot that when it rained i had steam mistying my screen from inside

any ideas?

no no i dont think i explained properly .. i am not worried about the engine temp - what i am saying is that even tho engine temp seems to be in the norm ie arnd 105, the bike itself is r hot, and its just happened today, i mean the frame itself was burning my tighs

That's very normal... I experience that when ridin with shorts too... To near by places... I never will wear shorts for long rides....

Hmmm.... I didn't do a proper calculation regarding this....

But maybe here is just a guide for u...

Pump full tank Caltex 98 previously and now Caltex 95. Consumption still same.

Full tank = approximately $28 - $29

Can cover 270 - 275km before hittin reserve

Maybe from here u can do some of ur own calculations...
