if ya intending to get ur Class 2 asap.. den i suggest u stay put on ur SP until dat happens.. or if u realli wana try out a new ride.. get budget ones.. eg. Version S, GSXR.

RVF got high initial cost of machine n nt mentioning its not exactly young anymore.. so it means repairs and RVF can cost alot to repair if u are unlucky..

RVF is an exotic 2A machine IMO. if u intend to upgrade then take a S4. i would suggest u take a 2A ride few months then upgrade cos the power jump from ur SP to a lets say R1 is quite big u might not be used to the amount of power on the throttle.

There. That might be one of your answers to ya doubts.

The RVF is not meant to be ridden, then dumped at a bikeshop after a year. At least that's what I feel.

Parts are expensive, no doubt. It's Honda's 2nd production sportsbike after the CBR, having won a number of races during its time. It's a pure-bred, mature 400cc sportsbike, IMO.

The only plus side is that it's the closest thing to a Class 2 bike when it comes to the feel of its power.

okie i see. then what the diff btw the ver. S and the version 3 series of super four?

version 3 is having VTec also having Digital millage ,fuel, while ver s does not have it

Well, you already said you want to jump to Class 2 ASAP, so why waste good $$$ on the RVF?

RVF is a good bike, but you will only lose $$$ if you ride and sell

Either stay with your SP or get a cheap Super 4.

Ver S is good enough.

Cost less, ard 3K can get from private seller already.

Save your money, use it on Class 2. You will be happier. :)

Why get RVF when you can save up and get the big boys' ride in another year? :cheeky: Trust me you will not regret it...

It is better to keep quiet and remain a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubts...

what do u mean by ' siggy '?,...pimpthugsta?

He meant "signature". Glad to help :cheeky: .

Agreed with the rest... get a cheap S4 or just stick with your current ride. I did that when I was riding WR200 then I jumped to Hayabusa as soon as I passed my class 2 test :cheeky: . Remember, never be hasty... take your time, recce around then decide. Good luck, dude...

Stick with your SP. But if you really want a 2A bike to ride for a year, you should listen to these guys here and get a Super 4. Maybe GSXR but you have to be pretty lucky to find one in really good condition.

If I were you, I'd keep my SP.

I disagree the need to ride 2A before jumping to class 2. In the USA, newbies learn riding on SV650 and other 600cc bikes. They have to learn to control the machine while facing the road situation as L plates. In Singapore, in the past people also didn't need 3 classes of licenses. Its good to have rode 400cc before junping to class 2, its an advantage, but its not necessary, because many people have done without it, in many countries without 3 license class systems for bikes.

P-plate should be an attitude to safety and riding. There's always more to learn.

In many countries bikes use as a "life style" (mostly because of weather), while in Singapore ppl use it as a transport first. I think in Singapore is a very smart 3 level system. Surely if I got class 2 lincese instead of 2B first, I'd buy the most powerful bike I have enough money for and would kill myself at the first bend.

Life is short, live nacked!
