How do u prevent ur right calf from being scalded while riding spec III?

Hi to all fellow spec III riders,

the problem i currently faced while riding spec III is that mi right calf will sometimes be scalded by the hot engine near the place where u pour in engine oil due to that part of the engine being protruding out. B'coz of this, i now have a phobia of gripping the fuel tank tight fearing that i might scald mi right calf esp if i'm wearing shorts that day. Do u ppl experience this also or issit just mi?

If u do, what are your counter measures? Care to help mi?

ya i agree that its best to wear the appropraite gear when riding, but sometimes wearing shorts can't be help and i'm sure u all can understand as riders also. i realise that the scalding will usually happen when i'm pillion someone coz due to space constrain, i have to put mi right feet slightly forward on the foot rest and its when mi calf will kena if i'm not careful or if i grip the fuel tank too tightly.

I also got burnt once or twice in my 3 months of riding, initially, cannot get use to it but after awhile you would adjust yourself to avoid the shiok sensation.

I travelled most of the time in shorts and scandal unless working:cheeky:

All you need to do is juz to adjust ur riding position..the 3pt guard oso wun help cos it wun cover the place in which ur calf wud likely touch the engine...JUZ ADJUST....

yeah i agree that by putting the ball of mi feet on the footpeg helps, but kind of unnatural for mi. i'm doing that anyway. Thanks for the advice
