1 think u can change 15 /37

Mine came stock with a 15 front, I went down 1 tooth to a 14............big difference:smile:

front sprocket in Thailand 80 baht installed.

I also tried installing a pod style air filter, same as a K&N style, I raised the needle, but felt it would take a bigger main jet, due to lean mixture at full throttle.

I will try to re-jet when I have more time, and also drill through the exhaust baffles with a small sized drill bit welded to a rod.

stock rims are chromed steel, it can be called chrome

I thought stock front is already 15?

Anyway Mr. X1, I changed mine to 14/37. Down 1 front and up 1 rear. Overall pickup more powerful, top end remains the same.

I'm thinking of doing something to my exhaust also... But I dunnoe what to do. Haha. Any recommandations?

what if i change front 14 behind 34? the smaller size the faster is it or bigger?

front sprocket:

less teeth = more pickup less topspeed

rear sprocket:

less teeth = more topspeed less pickup

tink if u use thinner...besides removing the black paint...it might affect the original gold color as well...

maybe u experiment with a small area of the rims see how? :cheeky:

if not i dont think there's any solution already

maybe I should change my back sprocket to the same size as you!

Exhaust is an option, I tried to drill 1 small hole in mine (1/4 inch), but the bit did not work.:faint:

I was going to do a little at a time, and a small hole. Sound is not an issue in Thailand.

Also if you modify or change your exhaust, you need to either re-jet the carb, or raise the needle on the carb. Most likely re-jetting is required.

The air pod style filter I tried made the bike loud on the carb side, so if sound is an issue in Sg., then be careful.

playing with the carburator is a tricky thing, hard to fine tune it. it takes a lot of time too.

I will try it later on when I have more time, and will change the exhaust pipe too. I may have to get one made for a wave, and weld it on, as there are not too many parts for X1 here.

Sometimes, the exhaust pipe seller will recommend the correct size jet to use, I remember that with Kerker pipes.
