actually it depends more on which kind of bike u would u prefer to get..

as in scrambler? sports bike? fuel economy bike?

i myself am 1.76m and i have a sp..

scrambler is without a doubt for tall people but bikes like sp and krr or tzm can also be considered coz in my view i dunt think it affects too much..

if ure going for fuel economy bike.. u cld get a cups but its a small bike if not u can try the bajaj pulsar.. runs on about 50km per litre

yup so ur height doesnt constraint u to a smaller number of choices..

have fun searching for ya bike :)

to TS: why did you put your height when asking that question?

you think you're too tall for any bike?

Aiya! Very simple, just pick the bike you like, and don't think too much on how others will see you when you ride.

No point pleasing everyone else, but when riding, your heart not happy...

yeah. you should really get the bike that you like, and not think too much about how you'll look on it or what other people say, cause at the end of the day, it's you who's gonna ride the bike right?

it's just like those who laugh at scooter riders wearing fullface helmet. may look out of place and a bit funny to some, but hey, wad's the purpose. To give you more protection right? As long as you're happy with it, it's fine. Anyways 1.78 for a 2B sportsbike is perfectly fine. :thumb:

chill...

like mentioned the few posts before me... height is not a deciding factor in bikes.

alot of people told me i looked kuku riding a cub... and i should be riding scrambler cos it looks 'compatible' to my height... what rubbish.. IMO.. :p

anyway... just go ahead to buy your first bike... it'll never be your last bike....

Yup... what they say is right, take something u like, rather than what looks nice..

But msu not forget, for a big man, a bgger bike might be safer for you, cos of its stability adnd all. I'm 1.83 and i'm looking for a bike also. Am currently looking at the TA200 (phantom), the Daelim Roadwin, or Hyosung Comet.

people say that the TA200 looks like an apek's bike and not suitable for me etc. But it's cheap and FC is quite good also.

If you like sport bikes, don't forget that the FC can be high. Cubs offer good mileage also.

But don't forget, smaller (and faster) bikes tend to be less stable for you if you're tall, and worse if you're big-sized. So scrambs mite be a good start (high FC tho).

Me on a KR or SP, or even a Cub, is like a circus bear on a bicycle. Perhaps something bulky might be good.

Between looks and speed, I pick looks.

The bike the u like loh !, I also about your height n riding RXZ, alot of friends said very small for me, but ok lay, ride 1 year plus liao ! Since it's your first bike, buy a 2nd hand cheap bike, recommand Japanese bike like Honda, Yamaha. Start with a bread-and-butter bike, ie : Honda Phantom, wave, Yamaha RXZ ... cos must consider maintenance n reliability. Most bike shops carry parts for BnB bike which mechanics are well verse in fixing them. U may face problems if u ride a rare bike but for 2B should not be a problem, majority of the 2B market all Japanese bike, I don't see a 2B Ducati, MV Agusta, Triumph, BMW, Bimota .... There are 2 more group of 2B bike beside the BnB group I just mention, the scooter group , ie : Vespa, Piaggio, Peugeot, Gilera ....and the scrambler group, ie : KTM, and most Jap brand carries a few model. In the end, if practical is not in your dictionary, just buy the bike u fall in love with, happy biking, brooooooooom........
