I saw a Phantom with sideboxes and what looks like mini-ape bars (maybe my bubble visor's warping? lol) riding in opposite direction at Kent Ridge yesterday at 4pm. Was it you, Dragonforce?

and copying one's logo or brand is not uniqueness...

which is nothing close to X-iled creations which he design from scratch..

and he personally assures he will not clone again if anyone request the same design.

just look at the car designs...they look similar isnt it..

eg..roundd headlights...ya seems every one is doing it

square/rectangular...at one time this is the rage..

now u have nike logo type of headlights...

so who is original???

 

anyway..using other people logos for decoration has been going on for ages...

so u paste repsol, castrol, esso, shell.etc logos on bike and that is ok...on your haya busa or whatever is ok..but HD is a no no??

 

anyway..everyone has his own ideas of what is awesome...one man's meat another poison i would say..

Square & round shapes are generic. There is nothing unique about it that requires IP protection. Those that are unique, will have IP.

Those are sponsorship logos of are companies with complementary businesses (thus replicas are OK), definitely not competing industry players (then replicas would not be OK).

 

Maybe Yamaha can sponsor Ducati bikes so that they carry their logo & even if they lose in MotoGP, they still win...

How about Suzuki uses Ducati logos, so that if they lose, they can share the loss with their competitors?

Yes, that's correct. & it applies for other bikes as well. An R1 with a Busa logo on it would be wrong, a GSXR with a Honda Wing on it would be wrong. A CBR with the Suzuki logo on it would be wrong.

Instead of owning the real thing. Like Mitsubishi Lancers trying to look like EVOs etc perhaps?

think i saw small machine on his bike @ 0030hrs while i exit KPE towards Airport...very black phantom with luminous yellow strips on the rims if my observation are correct it seems like the rear fender are taken from steed.....

yep i did had white-wall tire... so as bullet shape head light..

 

but they bears no logo.. and i wouldn't get them they were too common among other phantoms...
